Sanchita Ugale’s suicide is getting more attention with each passing day. The 22-year-old actress allegedly died by suicide on June 14, 2026, at her residence in Nalasopara, and an investigation is currently going on to probe the reason behind her suicide. Meanwhile, her close ones in the industry are coming up with some unsettling truths about the actress’s life. And now, actor, Paras Madan has revealed that Sanchita was deeply affected by remarks from her Saajan Ghar co-actor, Ujjwal Sharma.
Sanchita Ugale shared a very warm bond with actor, Paras Madan, with whom she worked on multiple projects. In an interview with Telly Chakkar, Paras spoke about Sachita and revealed that the actress wasn’t in the right state of mind and was very low on energy as well. In the same interaction, Paras shared that Sanchita wasn’t eating properly and had also gained weight. Paras also stressed that Sanchita wasn’t taking care of herself and had lost interest in everything. She was also accompanied by her mother to shoots, and whenever he tried bringing up the matter, she avoided discussing it.

Further in the interview, Paras revealed that it was the remarks of her Saajan Ghar co-actor, Ujjwal Sharma, that were bothering the late actress. After Ujjwal Sharma body-shamed Sanchita, her confidence was shattered, and it deeply affected her. Elaborating on the same, Paras said:
“After a lot of persuasion, she finally opened up and told us that her co-actor Ujjwal Sharma had allegedly harassed her and made hurtful remarks that shattered her confidence. Sanchita told us that he would say she wasn't good enough and would never achieve much in life. She also claimed that he called her mediocre and body-shamed her. His words had deeply affected her.”

Sanchita Ugale’s sudden passing has come as a big shock to her industry mates, and the case has left many unanswered questions. Amid the investigation pertaining to Sanchita’s death, her close friend and actress, Indraxi Kanjilal, levied serious allegations against Ujjwal Sharma. Speaking to Telly Chakkar, Indraxi stated that he had extorted money from Sanchita, and when she demanded the money back, his attitude changed.

He humiliated Sanchita and abused her through a text message. Not just this, Ujjwal also threatened to hit Sanchita. Indraxi also shared the screenshot of Ujjwal and Sanchita’s chat messages. In the messages, he was seen calling Sanchita "chapri" (cringe-worthy) after she demanded Rs. 3000 from him, which he borrowed from her. He also alleged that he had to stoop very low to reach her level of abusive language. According to the texts, he told her not to bother him anymore, or he would break her jaw.

As per Indraxi, Sanchita went to the Saajan Ghar's heads to raise a complaint regarding financial extortion, mental harassment, and physical intimidation by Ujjwal Sharma. However, they allegedly paid no heed to her, leaving her with no choice but to quit the show.

Sanchita was staying with her parents and sister in the Nalasopara area of Mumbai. As per Assistant Police Inspector Vinod Bagh of Achole Police Station, Sanchita had locked herself inside the bedroom of her residence in Sai Santoshi Building and allegedly hanged herself from a ceiling fan using a saree between 7 pm and 7:30 pm. Though no suicide note has been discovered, Sanchita’s fans claim that the actress was so full of life to take such a big step of suicide.
