But Samantha Akkineni was trolled for her outfit picks post her wedding with Naga Chaitanya. Recalling the negative criticism she had faced for wearing a revealing outfit for the first time after marriage, Samantha stated in an interview with the Hyderabad Times, “I remember, the first time when I wore something revealing after marriage, I was trolled terribly and it was very, very hard. But I noticed that when I did it the second time, it was not so bad. It’s all about taking that first step. I’m not going to say that I did something brave. I was scared of the repercussions and of the trolling. But at the same, I told myself that things have to change and I’m going to do as much as I can to be a part of that change.”
In February 2018, Samantha Akkineni had given a glimpse of her calm afternoon on a hammock as she sported a pink and black bikini. She had captioned it as “This isn’t a want it’s a NEEEEED!!!! #tired #tired #tired #tired Is it vacation time yet? #dreamer.” Samantha was mercilessly trolled for her beach picture in a bikini and reacting to the same, she was quoted as saying by an English Daily, “I know I would be trolled for posting a picture in a swimsuit on the beach, but do you expect me to wear a sari on the beach? I don't post them to get attention! But who tells me what pictures I should post? Just because I am a married person, they troll me. No one needs to tell me as to how I should conduct my life. I don't want to be scared. I don't want to fall into that trap.”
Samantha Akkineni had once revealed if her life has changed after her marriage. Speaking about the same in an interview with Film Companion, the doting wife had shared, “Chay and I have a very normal approach to things; from writing our provision list to deciding the menu for dinner, to seeing if everything is there at home.
