In an interview with Hindustan Times, Maa Inti Bangaaram’s director, Nandini Reddy, heaped praises on Samantha and her professionalism. She stated that Maa Inti Bangaaram gave Samantha the comeback that her fans were waiting for. Nandini also revealed that it was while she was working on a song that she discovered the actress was expecting.
Nandini revealed that the actress completed filming the film, which included energetic dance moves and a car chase sequence. Speaking about the precautions they took for the actress, Nandini shared:
“We were doing ‘Thassadiya’ when I discovered that she was carrying. But thankfully we were at the fag end of filming when she got pregnant. We took care that it wasn’t too strenuous for her and that she had enough breaks. It’s also not shot in top sunlight because we were heading into summer while shooting these. We took precautions to ensure she wasn’t exhausted too much.”

The next day, when Nandini asked Samantha about her health, the actress replied that she was better, that she was pregnant, and that she was having ‘morning sickness’.

After a few days, the actress confirmed her pregnancy and announced her maternity break. Reportedly, during an event of her movie, Maa Itni Bangaaram, Samantha revealed:
"I will have to take a small break after Maa Inti Bangaaram because of my condition. I will come back to do films. I'm taking maternity leave. Then I will come back with another film for my fans."
Prior to the event, a source close to Samantha Ruth Prabhu and her husband, Raj Nidimoru, had a conversation with SCREEN and said, "Samantha is in her first trimester, and the couple is very happy about it, especially Samantha, who always wanted to become a mother."
