Salman Khan and Abhishek Bachchan's paths rarely cross ever since the latter tied the knot with his ex-girlfriend and actress, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. In fact, Amitabh Bachchan also avoided interacting with Salman Khan on a public platform. The two families kept a safe distance from each other. However, Abhishek and Salman were spotted together at the 60th birthday celebration of Anand Pandit. For the unversed, Aishwarya and Salman had dated in the early 2000s. But they parted ways on a sour note, and Aishwarya had accused Salman of physically and verbally abusing her.
Abhishek Bachchan arrived with his father, Amitabh Bachchan for Ananad Pandit's birthday bash. The event was graced by several A-listers including, Shah Rukh Khan, Sonu Nigam, Jackie Shroff, Hrithik Roshan and many more. However, a video from the event has been going viral, wherein Salman was seen greeting Anand Pandit, later he rushed to hug Amitabh Bachchan and paid his gratitude.

Salman stopped for a while and hugged Abhishek Bachchan and the two warmly greeted each other without any bad blood. In another clip, the duo was seen engaging in a casual conversation, which shows that they felt extremely normal in each other's company.

As soon as the video went viral, netizens flooded the comments section. While some praised Salman's gesture, others took a jibe of the latter past relationship. One user wrote, "The hug between Salman and Abhishek made my night..." Another wrote, "Oh my ye to moye moye ho gya." One user also commented, "Bachchans and Salman always share a good relationship, people who fall to those rumours of abuse and all are foolish. Salman and Abhishek go back a long way."
For the unversed, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan fell in love while shooting for the film Guru. In April 2007, the couple had a grand wedding at Amitabh's first home, Vastu. After four years of romancing around the world, the couple embraced parenthood with the arrival of their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, on November 16, 2011.
For quite some time, rumours of Aishwarya not having a cordial relationship with her in-laws have been making rounds on the internet. Things escalated when a report by Times Now claimed that Aishwarya had left her marital home. Notably, she stays in a distinct and entirely separate section and maintains a clear distance from her in-laws. The report further stated that Aishwarya has not talked with Jaya Bachchan for the past few years. Things took a little ugly turn when Jaya Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan chose to skip Aishwarya's daughter, Aaradhya's performance at her school play.
