There are a few love stories that don't make great novels rather they are part of short stories, but that doesn't mean they are less epic. And an exactly similar love story is shared between Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. However, the two never accepted their relationship on camera, it was an open secret and the entire world knew about it. Salman and Katrina dated for four-long-years until they parted ways in the year 2009. But they continued to share the same warmth and eye talks that only lovers know about. And while everyone prayed for them to reunite, we only get to see them rekindle on the big screen.
Currently, the two are busy promoting their upcoming film, Bharat, and an interesting turn of events happened during one of the promotions. It all started when Katrina stated, "Main ek baat bataun aapko? Ask Salman if he follows me!" To which Salman replied, "Har jagah! Abhi main inko ghar tak chhod ke aaunga yahin se." While this comment left the entire media room burst into laughter, we wonder why the actor doesn't follow Katrina but her sister, Isabelle Kaif on Instagram. Well, indeed the duo shares a beautiful relationship that is above all the likes, followers and hearts on social media. We still remember how Katrina once talked about Salman laughing on her face while she was crying. In a 2017 interview with The Times of India, she had shared, "He always had a lot of belief in me. I was to be a part of the movie ‘Saaya’. Anurag Basu was the director, John Abraham was the hero and I was cast in the film. I was called one night for a shot. It was a silent shot, that too I was playing a ghost. It was a passing shot. After shooting for two days, I was told I am chucked out. When I left the room, I started crying, I was bawling my eyes out."
She had further stated, "Sometime in the day, I met Salman and I’m weeping, and he’s just laughing. I started to think he’s so mean. I’m thinking my career is over and I’ve been chucked out from my first film and it’s the end of my life and he’s laughing? He finally gave in and calmed me down saying, you don’t understand, this doesn’t mean anything. I know where you’re going to go from here, these things happen, I don’t have an answer but these things happen, you’ll see. Just keep your focus and work hard."
While we all know about Katrina's struggling phase after her breakup with Ranbir Kapoor. Recently, in an interview with Rajeev Masand, she had openly talked about it, and had shared, “Right now I’d say my life is 80% work and 20% personal. But it’s not in our control. Right now, there’s a lot of work happening. I take it as a good thing. It wasn’t in my control when my personal life…got over. It’s hard to know exactly why things happened. But I have a different take on it. “Ok fine—it [the break-up] sucks, it’s terrible, this is the worst thing in the world, my life is over. Let’s sit here and believe this, even for just two minutes. Do we feel good about things? No.” But if you really believe in your god, your universe, you’ll feel much better. The reason I feel that I should say this is because there are young girls who might be listening to me. They might find something that helps them. I may see a person and think, “Oh, she’s got everything”, or “Oh, she doesn’t struggle like I do”."
In an earlier interview with the Mumbai Mirror, Katrina had revealed how she managed to pull back when her heart was broken. She had shared, “I had to break before I could proceed to rebuild myself. I had to unravel and feel everything that had happened I had to take full responsibility for my part in the equation, what I could and should have done better. And accept that the parts that I was not responsible for were not my problem.”
She had also shared that she doesn’t hold any grudge for anyone, “Whoever it is (no names taken), I don't see the point of holding on to anything unpleasant from the past. I would rather let bygones be bygones. I don't think anyone is out there to hurt me. People are trying to do the best for you. But, sometimes, in trying to do the best for you, you get hurt. Too bad. However, I would rather have a friend than an enemy.” (Don't Miss: Hina Khan And Rocky Jaiswal's Cosy Pictures And Videos Straight From Their Milan Trip, Check Inside)
