Salman Khan, the Bhaijaan of Bollywood, never skips a chance to win the hearts of his fans. The actor has been in the industry for the last 37 years, starring in numerous films, starting with a brief role in Biwi No. 1 back in 1988. Salman has a global fanbase who have been waiting for his next film. Salman turned 60 years old on December 27, 2025. However, there's no update on this yet.
Well, amid Salman turning 60, let's look back at the time when the actor was the only one in Bollywood to say 'yes' to the role of an HIV-positive man in the movie Phir Milenge. It was a few days ago, when taking to his IG handle, film’s producer Shailendra Singh shared that Salman Khan said 'yes' to play the role of an 'HIV-positive' man in the movie, a role to which almost the entire industry said 'no' to.

Talking about Salman Khan's role in the movie, Phir Milenge, Shailendra Singh revealed that cinema is a mirror to society, and it was in 2004, when the 'heartthrob' of Bollywood, Salman, played a role, who died at the end of the movie, and the plot of the movie revolves around the cause of HIV/AIDS. Shailendra, in the post, revealed that convincing the 'Rambo, Terminator, and Superman' of Bollywood to make such a movie was challenging. Shailendra could be quoted as saying:

The plot line for the lead actor is that he gets HIV and then he dies. The whole industry said no, and that’s the day I called Salman Khan."

In the same post, Shailendra said that in the movie's climax, the lead, i.e., Salman Khan, died, although his fans weren't happy about the lead dying at the end. A message spread across the nation through the actor's role. It was also reported that Salman played the role in exchange for Re. 1, while reports also mentioned that he wanted to play his role in the movie for free.

Well, Shailendra stated that, even though the entire Bollywood said 'no' to the role, it was his one phone call to Salman that convinced him to be in the same movie. Speaking about Salman Khan's role in the movie, which featured both Shilpa Shetty and Abhishek Bachchan, Shailendra said:
