Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar's evergreen love story is an inspiration for millions. From being his little fan to becoming his life partner, Saira's love and admiration for Dilip Kumar is unmatched. And the glimpses of the same can be witnessed in her social media post. For the unversed, the veteran actress recently made her Instagram debut and since then, she has been sharing some lesser-known anecdotes from her and Dilip Kumar's love life. And now, yet again, she shared a priceless memory from her younger days, and it definitely speaks volumes about her love for Dilip Sahab.
On September 12, 2023, Saira Banu took to her Instagram handle and dropped a series of pictures of Dilip Kumar and the veteran actress, Vyjayanthimala. Sharing the pictures, the actress recalled one of her fond memories from the year 1958, when she was a teenager living in London. Talking about the same, she also mentioned how embarrassed she feels even today whenever she goes down memory lane, as it is associated with Dilip Kumar and Vyjayanthimala, the closest people in her life.

Further, in her note, Saira recalled that knowing her love for Indian cinema, her mother used to post 'Filmfare Magazine' for her entertainment when she was in London. One such magazine featured a picture of Dilip Kumar and veteran actress, Vyjayanthimala from their film, Madhumati. In the picture, Dilip Kumar can be seen resting his face on Vyjayanthimala's forehead. However, the chemistry and the close proximity between the duo were unbearable for Saira, who was madly in love with Dilip Kumar. An excerpt from her note can be read as:
"My mother knew I was crazy about Indian films, so she would intermittently post 'Filmfare Magazine' for our entertainment. In one such magazine, there was this photo of "MADHUMATI," which was considered bold at that time, where Sahib was romantically resting his face on Vyjayanthimala's forehead."
Further, Saira added that she was so jealous of Vyjayanthimala that she tore the picture into halves. The veteran actress stated that she burst into laughter whenever she recalled this incident. Saira also heaped praises on Vyjayanthimala and called her "Akka". In her words:
"It was a beautiful photo, and in my childishness, I got so jealous of Sahib's proximity with her that I took a pair of scissors and deftly started to snip away that portion of the photograph. KJust imagine! I am hysterical with laughter when I recall this. There are many interesting memories with her wherein I hold "Akka" in high esteem and shall narrate it one day."

Saira Banu's social media handle is filled with beautiful memories of Dilip Kumar. For instance, on July 8, 2023, she had dropped a throwback picture of Dilip Kumar on her IG handle. Sharing the same, the veteran actress revealed that Dilip Kumar always liked wearing white-hued Jodhpuri bush shirts with a collar. She added how whenever she used to plead him to wear something more colourful, he would counter-request her to wear fluffy Organdy sarees and not salwar kameez.
