Talking about parenthood takes us to soon-to-be parents for the second time, Saif Ali Khan and his begum, Kareena Kapoor Khan, who recently announced an addition to their family. It was on December 20, 2016, when Saif and Kareena had welcomed the little prince of Pataudi, Taimur Ali Khan into their lives. And the very first glimpse of Taimur had stormed the internet. With those chubby red cheeks and grey eyes, Taimur Ali Khan had made his way into the hearts of millions and had become a star overnight outshining his parents.
On August 12, 2020, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan had released a joint statement about a new addition into their family and becoming parents for the second time, “We are very pleased to announce that we are expecting an addition to our family.” Since then the gorgeous couple has been receiving congratulatory messages from their friends, family and fans. While gushing over Saif and Kareena’s ‘Good news’, we recently stumbled upon a throwback interview of Saif, where he had revealed how having kids can be overwhelming but he won’t be happy to be around them all the time as he loves his space.
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, the nawab of Pataudi, Saif Ali Khan had revealed how he had loved his ‘me’ time when Kareena Kapoor Khan had once taken Taimur Ali Khan for an outdoor shoot. He had shared, “During the first schedule of Veere Di Wedding, she took Taimur to Delhi and I was very happy to be alone at home [laughs]. I loved being by myself but after a couple of days, I missed having them around. He had further revealed how he loves having his own space and had stated, “Taimur is a part of my life and this is for the long haul. I like my space and I like having them around also. We are lucky we have help and we have distraction also because I do think that sometimes having a child can be overwhelming if you don’t have breathing space. Some people have a lower tolerance for claustrophobia and I am one of them. I won’t be happy if I have to be around them all the time.”
As soon as Kareena and Saif had given their confirmation about the pregnancy, Kareena Kapoor Khan's sister-in-law, Soha Ali Khan had taken to her Instagram handle and had posted a funny wish for the second-time parents. She had shared a picture of Saif with ‘THE QUADFATHER’ written over it, and congratulating her bhai-bhabhi, she had written, "Couldn't resist! Congratulations @kareenakapoorkhan be safe and healthy - and radiant as ever!" On Soha’s post, Saif’s first son, Ibrahim Ali Khan had the coolest reaction. On his bua’s post, Ibrahim had commented, “Abba” followed by a fire emoticon.
In 2018, Kareena Kapoor Khan had featured on Komal Nahta’s show, Starry Nights 2.Oh! and it was there that she had answered to the most-asked question, 'When are you planning to extend your family?' Back then, when Kareena was asked if she and her hubby, Saif Ali Khan are planning to have a second child, she had retorted, "After two years."
