After the trailer of her debut movie, Kedarnath was released and then her appearance on Koffee with Karan season 6, Sara Ali Khan has won a million hearts. Kedarnath released yesterday (December 07, 2018) and even though the film has met with mixed reviews, Sara's performance has been appreciated by critics and audiences alike. Sara's father, Saif Ali Khan recently shared that he is hesitant upon watching Sara on the ‘big screen’ for the first time. As per a report, “He (Saif) is just petrified to watch Sara on screen. Kareena keeps urging him to watch Kedarnath. But, Saif keeps putting it off." When Saif was asked about the same in an interview, he had answered, “No I haven’t seen Kedarnath yet. But, I will very soon.” But it seems that Saif has finally decided to watch Sara on the big screen. A while ago, he was spotted outside the special screening of Kedarnath. And guess who accompanied him? Yes, it was his wife and Sara's stepmom, Kareena Kapoor Khan. Take a look:
Saif, in an earlier interview, had shared his nervousness about Sara entering the film industry. He had said, “(I am) A little nervous. Fear is the most driving factor in the industry. I am not looking down on acting, it's just it is not the most stable profession. And everyone lives in constant fear. And there is no guarantee that despite doing your best, you will succeed. This is not the life, any parent would want for their children." In yet another interview, Saif had stated, “She has a lot of well-wishers around her, from her mother (Amrita Singh) to me, Karan Johar to everybody. She can seek advice from anybody. I am very happy that she is doing something she is passionate about and its a beautiful job."
Saif was earlier married to Amrita Singh and Sara is their daughter. Saif's take on Sara's career earlier differed from Amrita. Saif had said to an online portal, "She always wanted to be an actor and I think she will be great. We worry about children as this profession has so much drama to it. So I had thought she will do some normal job because she is a brilliant student, but I guess nobody wants that (normal job).” He had also shared, “Why would she want that for herself? Look at where she studied. After having done that, why wouldn't she want to live and work in New York, rather than do this?”
And this didn't go well with Amrita. A source revealed to a media house, "She (Amrita) told him (over the phone) it was an irresponsible thing to say considering Sara is about to embark on a film career." Speaking about his and Sara’s relationship, the Sacred Games star was quoted as saying in an interview, “I was quite young when I had Sara, we have a drink together from time to time. We are more like friends, so there's very little I can lecture her on in that sense. It's a bit odd, someone might even cast us in the movie."
Recently, on Koffee with Karan, Sara had said, "I want to marry Ranbir Kapoor. I don't want to date him. I want to date Kartik Aaryan." To this, Karan retorted, “I’m sure he wouldn’t mind dating you. Should I take the proposal?” The excited Sara agreed, “Tell him, na!”
