Your guilty pleasure is here and so, get ready to tap into the personal lives of your favourite celebrities on the couch conversation. And the latest update in this regard is that the first episode will witness a father-daughter duo. Still guessing? Well, Koffee with Karan Season 6’s first episode, will have Saif Ali Khan and Sara Ali Khan. Dharma Movies, on their Instagram handle, shared the following picture from the shooting of the first episode and captioned it as, “This father-daughter duo is bound to put the couch on fire with unlimited wit & style. And hey, @saraalikhan95 making her #koffeewithkaran debut”.
Hey! Can you see the hamper in between? We are guessing who wins it when the father and daughter clash together in the famous 'Rapid Fire Round'. Host Karan Johar also shared the above pic on his personal Insta handle, and wrote, “Today was day 1 for the shoot of #koffeewithkaran ! Shot with the extremely hilarious and supremely bright and sensitive father daughter duo! #saifalikhan and @saraalikhan95”.
Sharing the same picture, Sara Ali Khan wrote on her Insta handle, “Thank you for my first cup of koffeeee @karanjohar #fatherdaughter #koffeewithkaran #suchfun #seeyousoon”. A couple of hours before sharing the above snap, Dharma Movies shared another one of the new set, captioning it, “Lights, camera....KOFFEE! Shooting for season 6 begins today! @karanjohar. P.S. Earlier, it was reported that sister-brother duo, Arjun Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor would be making it to the first episode of Koffee with Karan Season 6. An insider earlier revealed to BollywoodLife, “This is Janhvi's debut on the show and who better to partner with her than Arjun. They are quite attached to each other and he is literally a pillar of strength for her. It will be fun to see them spilling each other's secrets”.
The source further added, “He shares a special bond with Janhvi. Like Alia, she too is a Dharma protege and he is extremely protective about her. Now, coming back to Saif and Sara, the latter is all set to make her debut in Abhishek Kapoor’s directorial, Kedarnath starring opposite, Sushant Singh Rajput. Commenting on the same, papa Saif had once revealed to a media portal, “What worries me is the kind of relationships she is going to have. Or for that matter, how she will deal with failure - will she get upset and cry about them? These are things that niggle at me. I wouldn't say I am nervous because I am not living vicariously through her”.
Sara Ali Khan is a graduate from Columbia University, New York and after that, her choice of pursuing Bollywood as a career didn’t go well with Saif. He was quoted as saying, “Why would she want that for herself? Look at where she studied. After having done that, why wouldn't she want to live and work in New York, rather than do this? I am not looking down on acting, it's just it is not the most stable profession. And everyone lives in constant fear. And there is no guarantee that despite doing your best, you will succeed. This is not the life, any parent would want for their children”.
We all know that Sara is Saif’s daughter from his first marriage to Amrita Singh. Saif once told IANS, “Amrita and me are on the same page as far as Sara and her acting debut is concerned. We never had any such conversation. I am fully supportive of Sara's acting ambitions and we discuss things in detail”.
