Just a month after baby Virushka arrived in this world and her doting parents introduced Vamika with only a glimpse of her, it is a moment of happiness in B-town once again as Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan became parents for the second time. It was four years ago when Saif and Kareena had welcomed their firstborn, Taimur Ali Khan and while it seems like just yesterday, baby Tim is now a big brother as the stork blessed the couple with their second child. Last year, in August, Saif and Kareena had made an official announcement about a soon-to-be addition in their family and finally, the day has come to remove ‘soon-to-be’ as the couple welcomed their second baby. The memories are still fresh when Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan had posed for the paparazzi at the balcony of their residence at Fortune Heights, holding their newborn bundle of joy, Taimur Ali Khan. Since then, baby Tim has been spreading joy and brightening up our lives with just his one glimpse. In a promotional video, when Saif and Kareena were asked, “What was it like to hold your baby for the first time?” while she had said, “Even though I carried him for nine months, I think every mother experiences this. I just felt extremely surreal”, he had remarked, “I think we cannot describe it in words.”
The much-awaited day is finally here as Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan embraced parenthood for the second time and welcomed their baby, making Taimur Ali Khan a big brother. According to a Times of India report, Kareena and Saif welcomed a baby boy on February 21, 2021.
Kareena Kapoor Khan's cousin sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni also took to her Instagram handle and shared an IG story for her. She posted a picture with Kareena and their girl gang. Atop it, she wrote, "Congratulations Bebo and Saif #itsaboy @kareenakapoorkhan."
A few hours later, Kareena Kapoor Khan's father, Randhir Kapoor confirmed his daughter's baby. The veteran actor revealed, "Yes, Kareena has given birth to a baby boy today morning. We are overjoyed. Both the mother and baby are doing well. We are at Breach Candy hospital."
Saif Ali Khan is a proud father of Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan (from his ex-wife, Amrita Singh) and Taimur Ali Khan and the newborn (with Kareena Kapoor Khan). In an interview with Pinkvilla, Kareena had revealed that Saif loves all three of them deeply, and Taimur resembles a lot with Sara in her childhood pictures. Revealing one common thing in the three of them, Kareena had shared that it is a beautiful connection that Sara, Ibrahim and Taimur have ‘Pataudi eyes’. Kareena had also said that Saif had told her about Ibrahim’s childhood and he was a peaceful child, who would be okay if one would give him a potato chip. However, she had shared that Sara and Taimur are the feisty ones. Bebo had said, “Sara is feisty and beautiful and Taimur, I feel, is a lot like Saif also. He has that slight ‘kabhi kabhi toh thoda twist ho jata hai dimaag and I’m like ‘oh my god’.” We wonder if the little one too has Pataudi eyes or not! In a Zoom interview, Kareena Kapoor Khan had revealed the first reaction of her hubby, Saif Ali Khan on knowing about her second pregnancy. Revealing that it wasn’t planned but something they wanted to celebrate, Kareena had said, “Unfortunately in my house there is nothing filmy as such. Because Saif is very normal and relaxed. Of course, he is always happy to hear it. So like I said, it wasn’t planned but it was something we really wanted to celebrate and we are really enjoying it together.” Speaking about the excitement on welcoming the new addition in their family, Saif had said in an interview with GQ, "I am very happy to welcome another tiny tot home before we get old."
In a conversation with Anupama Chopra, Kareena Kapoor Khan had spoken about how her second pregnancy was different from the first one. She had said, “Last time, I just took myself for granted and became huge. I put on 25 Kgs. I don’t want to do that. I just want to be healthy and fit. I think the first time, it's just excitement. Everyone’s like parathe khao, ghee khao, doodh piyo, besan ka laddoos are coming. And now, I’m like listen I have done it before, I know what my body requires. My doctor’s like ‘listen you are not eating for two, that is just a myth.
