Indian spiritual teacher, Sadhguru, also known as Sadhguru Jagadish Vasudev, is one of the most respected people in our country. He has been a yoga teacher since 1982. Apart from that, he is also the founder of the famous spiritual NGO in Coimbatore, Isha Foundation. He is also a speaker and a famous author, and two of his most notable works are New York Times bestsellers, Inner Engineering: A Yogi's Guide to Joy and Karma: A Yogi's Guide to Crafting Your Destiny. However, it seems like Sdhguru has been surviving a tough phase, health-wise, as he was recently admitted to the hospital for a life-threatening situation.
A statement from the Isha Foundation mentioned that Sadhguru had recently faced a life-threatening situation. As per the statement, the spiritual leader has been suffering from severe headaches for the last month, which reached an extreme level on March 14, 2024, after he arrived in Delhi. As per the statement, on the same day, Sadhguru had an MRI, and according to the reports, he had multiple bleeding spots in his brain. The same statement also stated that the chronic bleeding has been going on for 3-4 weeks, and some fresh bleeding breakthroughs also developed in 24-48 hours. The statement can be read as:
"Sadhguru was suffering from severe headache for the last four weeks....The headache got extremely severe by March 14, 2024 afternoon when he arrived in Delhi. Sadhguru underwent an urgent MRI at 4.30 pm the same day, which revealed a massive bleed in the brain. There was evidence of a chronic bleed that had been ongoing in the last 3-4 weeks as well as fresh bleeding that had developed in the previous 24-48 hours of the examination."

The same statement also stated that Sadhguru was admitted to the hospital, and he had undergone emergency brain surgery within a few hours to relieve the bleeding in the skull. On the other hand, Dr Vinit Suri has claimed that he is doing fine now and that his situation is getting normal. The statement reads:
"March 17, 2024, Sadhguru’s neurological status rapidly worsened along with weakness of the left leg and marked worsening of headache with recurrent vomiting. ...He underwent an emergency brain surgery within a few hours of admission to relieve the bleeding in the skull."

On the other hand, Dr Vinit Suri, the doctor who led the surgery, in a video stated that Sadhguru has been ignoring his headache for the last month as he wanted to cater to his work commitments and even was a part of the Mahashivratri program. The doctor also shared that even when he was in utter pain on March 15, 2024, he wanted to attend a meeting and told the doctors that he hadn't missed any meetings in 40 years. However, the doctors were able to stop him and treat him.
As per the doctors, the situation worsened on March 17, as he was becoming drowsy and had weakness in his left leg. The doctor also stated that they had to operate him immediately as the swelling in his brain changed its position. However, they also confirmed that the spiritual teacher is recovering and is healing faster than expected.
