Sachin Pilgaonkar is one of the famous names in the industry. Apart from playing roles as a child artist in around sixty-five movies in the Marathi film industry, he then turned to the Hindi film industry and earned fame through his iconic roles in the movies named, Geet Gaata Chal, Balika Badhu, Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se and Nadiya Ke Paar. However, he has also worked in Kannada cinema and Bhojpuri cinemas. Apart from that he has produced, acted, and directed in several TV shows.
One of Sachin Pilgaonkar's iconic shows, Tu Tu Main Main won wide success for six long years till 2000. The show started with actress Reema Lagoo and Sachin's wife, Supriya. Again in 2006, he directed the sequel of the same show, Kadvee Khattee Meethi, with the same stars. However, in an interview with News18, Sachin shared that a new season of Tu Tu Main Main is to return very soon.

In a recent interview with News18, talented actor, Sachin Pilgaonkar shared that they are planning to bring the show back. In fact, they are already working on it. Talking about the same, he said that there would be a twist. For the unversed, Tu Tu Main Main shed some light on the love-hate relationship between a 'daughter-in-law' and a 'mother-in-law', played by Supriya Pilgaonkar and Reema Lagoo, respectively. Now for the twist, Sachin shared that his doting wife, Supriya Pilgaonkar, will now play the role of a 'mother-in-law' rather than Reema. Talking about the same, the actor shared:
"We’re planning on bringing the show back. We’re already working on it...Surpiya won’t be the daughter-in-law anymore but the mother-in-law."
Regarding how the show is still alive in the audience's memories, Sachin Pilgaonkar shared that this generation must have been in school during that time. Talking about the show's cast, Tu Tu Main Main, Sachin shared that they were very new back then, but it was thrilling how they became monsters in a couple of months. The talented actor then shared that the show was never a daily soap opera; in fact, the episodes would be released weekly. Elaborating on the same, Sachin Pilgaonkar shared:
"They were very new in that space. Reema had an image of a miss goody two shoes mother and Supriya wasn’t very known among the Hindi audience. But in a couple of months, they became like monsters. The episodes would be released on a weekly basis, it wasn’t a daily soap."

In the same interview, when asked about what made him leave the television industry, Sachin shared that the moment daily soaps from Monday to Sunday became popular, he left the industry. Regarding where the next season of Tu Tu Main Main will be released, Sachin said he would prefer any OTT platform. Reflecting on the same, he shared:
"I wouldn’t like to bring the show on television. I would prefer an OTT platform and we’re very open as far as the platform is concerned."
For the unversed, just like Sachin Pilgaonkar, his wife and daughter followed in his footsteps and won millions of hearts with their masterclass acting skill. However, in the same interview, Sachin shared that they are open to each other and share things about creativity rather than business. Talking about his biggest critics, Sachin added:
"My biggest critics are my wife, daughter and sister. My mother, on the other hand, pampers me. She likes everything that I do. But these three are my biggest critics. And I’ve to listen to my wife because she’s a very powerful person. I can’t do what I wish to because I’m married."
