The Gossip Girl actress, Blake Lively turned 36 on August 25, 2023, and her husband, Ryan Reynolds definitely cannot stay away from complimenting his gorgeous wife. Ryan took to his social media to commemorate the birthday of the love of his life.

The 36-year-old actress, Blake Lively and the 46-year-old actor, Ryan Reynolds have always proved to the world that friendship matters the most in any relationship. The duo, known to be each other’s trollers for life, never skipped a chance to tease each other on their respective social media handles. But on the occasion of Blake’s 36th birthday, Ryan seemed to have taken this opportunity to appreciate his wife, and, obviously, not tease her anymore. He uploaded a post on his Instagram handle with an adorable caption. Ryan captioned the post as:
“The only thing irrevocably mine in the world is the love and appreciation and awe I feel for this person. Witnessing her life is something I couldn’t take for granted if I tried. And believe me, I try. Happy Birthday, @blakelively. You hung the damn moon.”
The fans of the couple, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, could not believe their eyes that Ryan’s post did not have any humour element this time. In his post, Ryan just appreciated his beautiful wife. Some fans pointed out that he uploaded only good pictures of his wife, while others were busy gushing over the chemistry between them.
Blake and Ryan first met while filming their superhero movie, Green Lantern. At the time, they were both in other relationships - Blake with her Gossip Girl co-star, Penn Badgley, and Ryan with Scarlett Johansson, to whom he was married. However, fate had different plans for them, and they eventually ended their respective relationships and started dating each other in 2011. Since then, Blake and Ryan's love story has been nothing short of extraordinary. They tied the knot in September of 2012 and now have four children together - James (8), Inez (6), Betty (3), and a fourth child whose name is not known yet.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ryan shared how they've managed to maintain a strong friendship over the years.
“We don’t take each other too serious, but we’re also friends. Falling in love is great, but do you like each other? We’ve always liked each other. We grow together. We learn from each other. So yeah, I’m lucky to have a buddy in that.”
Now, we can indeed say that friendship is truly the foundation of a romantic relationship. The couple has been married for a decade now, and their love still seems to be in the honeymoon phase. While Ryan Reynolds seems to have his hands full with his upcoming movie, Deadpool 3, his wife, Blake Lively is busy with her canned cocktail business, Betty Booze.
