Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki actress, Rubina Dilaik is getting married to her boyfriend, Abhinav Shukla. After seeing each other for four years, Rubina and Dilaik are set to tie the nuptial knot in June 2018. Talking to a leading daily, Rubina confirmed the news a couple of days ago and elatedly said, “Yes we are taking our relationship forward to a new phase a phase where we will celebrate each other’s imperfection and create memories for a lifetime.”
Groom-to-be, Abhinav, added, “Yes, we are getting married in June. We are yet to zero in on a date as we have a couple of options. The venue too is to be finalised. There was no pressure from either side. I was very clear that I won’t get married until I find the person I can be myself with and Rubina are just that. Also, we didn’t need any convincing to make up our minds. We just decided that we needed to take our relationship to the next level after dating for so long.”
In fact, Rubina took to her Instagram and shared an adorable pic kissing Abhinav. In the caption also, she announced her wedding news, “YES. We are going to begin our new journey, with proudly embracing each other’s imperfections for an eternity! This JUNE will be the celebration of our BIG Day. Thank you ALL for flooding us with love and good wishes.” This is what she posted:
Talking to another leading daily, Rubina said some very wise words about love and even more adorable words for her hubby-to-be. She said, “Thank you for the wishes, I am really excited. Love is the strongest emotion, humankind has ever experienced. And I have blossomed in his love. Opening up about their parents and how it started, Abhinav said, “I first informed her parents and my family connected with hers. I did bring up the topic of marriage with her, but it wasn’t followed by a dramatic Hollywood-like proposal of going down on my knees and popping the question.”
Talking about the traditions of a Hindu wedding, the Aksar 2 actor refused to mount a godhi (horse) during his baraat. He said, “I am completely against it. I don’t want to trouble an animal, who can’t express pain or exhaustion, to mark my big day.”
A couple of months ago, Abhinav had shared his marriage plans and since then the anticipation has been high. He had said, “We will take our own sweet time. We have a pact- till the time we both feel that we need to get married, we won’t. There is no pressure on Rubina or me to get hitched ASAP.” Rubina had also shared something similar and added, “Marriage isn’t the ultimate destination. We’re enjoying this journey at the moment.”
Now that, Rubina and Abhinav are getting married and it’s officially confirmed, we are all excited to see their wedding avatars.
