Rubina Dilaik is undoubtedly one of the cutest mommy-to-be in the telly world. After entertaining massive audiences with her impeccable performances, the diva is now on the verge of graduating into a new phase of her life. For the unversed, Rubina is expecting twins with her husband, Abhinav Shukla. As she has been quite vocal about her pregnancy journey thus far, the diva recently revealed how she lost out on a number of collaborative projects, just because of her pregnancy.
In the latest episode of her talk show, Kisi Ne Bataya Nahi: The Mamacado Show, Rubina Dilaik interacted with the talented comedian and a fellow mother, Bharti Singh. While discussing various topics, ranging from pregnancy to parenthood, Rubina revealed how pregnant women are slightly looked down upon professionally. Citing an example of the same, the actress revealed how several brands withdrew projects of collaboration with her, after they learned about her pregnancy. In her words:
“Initially when people started commenting that I am pregnant, I couldn’t react because till 3 months I couldn’t react. After 3 months, I got a bit comfortable and you feel like getting back to work. You also start to show. So many brands pulled out after learning about my pregnancy. Half of the brands don’t want to collaborate with you.”

In the same discussion, Rubina Dilaik talked about how supportive her husband, Abhinav Shukla has been all throughout her pregnancy. From being extra careful about her comfort, to adjusting to her mood swings and even staying alert night after night, Rubina couldn’t help herself to praise her better half. She mentioned:
“We have been together for 9 years, 4 years together and 5 years of marriage. I have been the one to apologise to Abhinav after every fight. But in these 9 months, he will keep apologising at the drop of the hat. Even if he is not at fault, he will say sorry. I am like woah!”

Back on November 28, 2023, Rubina Dilaik hosted the first episode of her talk show, Kisi Ne Bataya Nahi: The Mamacado Show, reflecting her zeal to be active and to work even in the last leg of her pregnancy. Moreover, the particular episode turned out to be special as Rubina surprised everyone by announcing that she was expecting twin children.

Earlier, in an interaction with the Hindustan Times, Rubina Dilaik’s hubby, Abhinav Shukla opened up about hopping onto the next chapter of his life and becoming a father. The actor revealed that he was mentally prepared for such a change in his life and added that he looked forward to sleepless nights. In his words:
“I was already mentally prepared for it. It is a fun journey, and I am looking forward to sleepless nights. I have followed the journey of my nephew and niece as my brother has two kids. I love spending time with them, and I thought I should have my own. It is the best part of you and your future life."
