June 21, 2018, witnessed the union of two souls, Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki lead actress, Rubina Dilaik and Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka fame actor, Abhinav Shukla. Rubina and Abhinav decided on forever and exchanged the wedding vows at a famous palace in Shimla in the presence close friends from the industry and family members. Rubina and Abhinav are enjoying their marital phase to the fullest, but their honeymoon is due. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Rubina opened up about her life post married and shared, "It has just not sunk in, because immediately after we got back from our wedding, we went for our shoots. We hardly get to see each other after pack up because our schedules are pretty erratic, and they really don't coincide with each other's time."
Rubina further said, "But we are enjoying this also, because it's kind of exciting when you manage your personal and professional life and the balance you strike. Yes, this newness is interesting and exciting, and it has a lot of longing... just to see each other after pack up, for an hour or so. If I have some time, like 15-20 minutes, I bake something for Abhinav. I love to cook for him. So, we both just steal time for each other."
Rubina also informed that due to their professional commitments, the honeymoon will have to wait for some time. Rubina was quoted as saying, "Honeymoon plans are yet to be finalised, because we are committed to our work as well. So, it will happen only after a couple of months. I have a few destinations in mind and depending upon the days and offs we get together, we will zero down on a destination." Rubina shared a few unseen pictures and video on her Instagram, from her wedding, as a part of her one-month anniversary celebrations. She also composed a song named ‘Ek Navvi Zindagi’ for her hubby, Abhinav which she shared on her YouTube page, and captioned it, “Zindagi is my expression of deep appreciation for the gift called 'Life' and when love and life coexist they inspire. Rubina believes that getting married to a person who belongs to the same profession is a blessing, as things become easier to explain and understand. She remarked, “I believe that if you have a person who understands your profession, it is a little easier and in the long run, it helps because you understand the subjectivity of time and notion that comes along with a particular profession.”
Since there is a lot of similarity between the couple, including their love for travelling and photography, she believes that her and Abhinav’s jodi is a match made in heaven. Rubina explained, “I feel extremely blessed to not only have a man like Abhinav [in my life] but to also have a soul, which is so adventurous yet very homely. When Rubina and Abhinav came back to Mumbai, after the wedding festivities ended, newbie hubby had a sweet surprise in store for his newbie bride. Rubina and Abhinav shifted to their new abode post-marriage, and the warm welcome with all the rituals made Rubina speechless. The newly-weds, Rubina and Abhinav’s griha pravesh ceremony was performed by one of their friends' mother with aarti ki thali.
Rubina captioned her griha pravesh picture as, “And after a week of unforgettable memories and celebrations with friends and Family around, (deep down) I didn’t want to step in my new world without “Being Welcomed and blessed” and here’s what happened.
