Rohit Sharma and Ritika Sajdeh have embraced parenthood now! Yes, you read that correctly! Rohit and Ritika have been blessed with a baby girl. As we know that the Indian team is in Australia these days. Just after the recent historic win at the MCG, Rohit had boarded the flight to Mumbai to be with his wife during her delivery. And en-route, he received the news that he has become a father now!
Earlier, as per The Times of India, Rohit flew down to India from Australia to be with his wife for the birth of their first child. A source informed the media portal, “It would’ve been great to have him (Rohit) around. Tactically, he brings so much to the side and then his batting provides the right kind of balance to the side. But what awaits him is far bigger and more important." Bollywood star, Sohail Khan's wife, Seema Khan, who is cousin-sister of Ritika confirmed the news on her Instagram stories. She shared the following post:
Rohit and Ritika kept the latter's pregnancy hidden for quite a while. But recently, Rohit opened up about the idea of being a father, and said, "I cannot wait to be a father; it is going to be a game-changing moment in our lives. I am eagerly awaiting the moment of becoming a father. It will be a moment to change our life." He had further added, "When my teammates got to know that I am going to become a father, they were laughing at me. They were like you are going to be a father? The reaction came in because of the mannerism and the things I have done in my previous years. They think I am irresponsible, obviously in a funny way. But I am going to make sure that everything changes."
Rohit and Ritika completed 3 years of marital bliss recently on December 13, 2018. Sharing a beautiful picture from their wedding, the couple wrote heartfelt wishes for each other. While the lady wrote, “Happy anniversary to the boy who’s been lighting up my life for over a decade now. I honestly cannot remember my life before you walked into it. Thank you for always being there for me. Here’s to many more lifetimes of this @rohitsharma45”, Rohit too, posted a crisp one-liner which spoke a million words. Earlier, in an interview, Rohit had revealed how he first met Ritika and shared, “I was shooting with some senior members of the Indian team including Yuvraj Singh. When I met Yuvi in his trailer, Ritika was there.
