A source close to the family told TMZ that Suarez didn’t get an invite because the family didn’t communicate with her after RJ’s death. The source also noted that the event was public and everyone was welcome. The source revealed that Suarez could have shown up, but she didn’t.
Did Kennedy Suarez give an ultimatum to RJ Mitte?
After RJ Mitte’s death, many reports surfaced that the actor was facing troubles in his relationship with Kennedy Suarez. The report said she wasn’t getting along with his mother and felt she was interfering in their relationship. This eventually caused the rift between the couple.
The reports also stressed that Suarez gave RJ an ultimatum: choose her over his mother, Dyna. RJ was very close to his family and wasn't willing to give them up. Because his relationship with Suarez was causing a lot of trouble, he was upset, and the actor felt distressed. On the other hand, Dyna confirmed tension between Suarez and RJ, but it’s still unclear whether Mitte and Kennedy had parted ways before his death.

The duo got engaged in October 2025, marking a significant milestone in their relationship. He often praised Suarez and once said their love wasn't always easy; it had endured both good and difficult times.
RJ rose to fame as the son of Bryan Cranston's 'Walter White' on the Emmy-winning series. On October 12, 2026, TMZ reported that RJ Mitte had passed away. His reps later confirmed the sudden news. According to initial reports, RJ Mitte died by suicide in Brownsville, Texas. Authorities said they saw no apparent signs of foul play.
However, the Police Department stated that the official cause and manner of death cannot be confirmed until they get the medical examiner's findings. So, the case is still under investigation. The actor lived with cerebral palsy, and throughout his acting career, Mitte spoke up for disability representation in Hollywood.
Not just this, it was reported that RJ Mitte apparently took his own life hours after his fiancée Kennedy Suarez's birthday. The news of his death has left his fans heartbroken. In a statement, his rep said:
"It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of beloved actor, philanthropist, and passionate disability rights advocate RJ Mitte."
