Rituraj Singh revealed Shah Rukh Khan encouraged him to pursue an acting career in the Mumbai film industry

In the same old interview with the Indian Express, Rituraj Singh admitted that Shah Rukh Khan used to insist and encouraged him to come to Mumbai for work. The actor admitted that SRK had belief in his acting skills, which boosted his confidence. However, he also shared that he had never reached out to Shah Rukh for work because he never wanted to look like a friend, who wants to trade favours. But Rituraj added that he believed that Shah Rukh would be the first person to reach out to him whenever he would be in a miserable situation. He said:

"I have never asked SRK for work because unlike others, I don't suck up to him and ask favours. But this I know, that if God forbid I am in a miserable situation tomorrow, SRK will be the first one to reach out to me."

The reason why Rituraj Singh got the title 'The man who couldn't be Shah Rukh Khan' by the media

When Rituraj Singh made his way into the film industry, several people found him a lot similar to Shah Rukh Khan in terms of looks and facial structure. One look at the pictures from their theatre days back in the 1980s clearly shows the striking resemblance in their facial features. In their respective career, while Shah Rukh Khan went on to become Bollywood's King Khan, Rituraj Singh established himself as a mega-star in the television industry.

However, Rituraj Singh couldn't match the level of his close buddy, Shah Rukh Khan's stardom, which was why the former got the title of 'The man who couldn't be Shah Rukh Khan' by many media houses. What's beautiful is the way how Rituraj reacted to such remarks by the media in a conversation with the Indian Express. The actor clearly stated that he was extremely happy about Shah Rukh's success, and it felt personal to him due to their long-lasting friendship. It's rare to have such friendships in the industry, which speaks volumes about the kind of person Rituraj Singh was in real life.
