Television stars, Asha Negi and Rithvik Dhanjani met for the first time on the sets of their daily soap, Pavitra Rishta. Soon the couple managed to etch a special place with their chemistry in the hearts of millions of fans. They were also lovingly called AshVik since 2013 after they started dating. Unfortunately, their love story was short-lived, and in May 2020, Asha confirmed their breakup.
Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi's breakup came as a big shocker for their millions of fans and well-wishers. The actress had also faced huge criticisms for her breakup with Rithvik. Not only this, but people had also thrown mean comments claiming that she had broken up with her then-beau, Rithvik after getting a film. However, in real life, the ex-couple still share compassion and respect for each other.

As Asha Negi turned a year older on August 23, 2022, her ex-boyfriend, Rithvik Dhanjani wished her most adorably. He shared two single pictures of her and penned a beautiful note. Soon, Asha took to the comments sections and thanked him. However, taking to the comment section, the AshVik fans started pouring in love and prayers for their reunion. Rithvik's love-filled caption for Asha can be read as:
"Happiest birthday gods child!!! Bappa Teri har khwahish har din puri kare…you have the magic of spreading love where ever you go negi..may you keep shining and may you keep making this world a better place just by being in it…Lots of love negi!"
Earlier, in an interview with The Indian Express, Asha Negi had opened up about the backlashing she had faced after her breakup with Rithvik Dhanjani. She mentioned how people judged her and said mean things to her while she was climbing the ladder of success. She shared that whatever had happened between her and Rithvik was a personal affair, and it had nothing to do with her professional life. And it was a coincidence that the duo's breakup and release of Asha's movie, Ludo, happened simultaneously. Elaborating the same, she said:
"There were many who said that she has done a film and broken up. They said, Ab toh film actor ban gayi hai, why will she date him. That's how people judge without a thought. They create their own perspective, which is so sad. Whatever happened, it was between me and him. There is a lot of love and respect among us, and I don't think anyone else should bother."

Further, she had revealed how difficult her breakup was and more because she was highly scrutinised for the same. She explained how they tackled the situation among themselves first and then with their family. Asha could be quoted as saying:
"I can't even explain how tough it got. People are just sitting there and commenting. Yes, they have seen us together in good times but you don't know anything about us. When it happened last year, we had to face the situation ourselves first, then, of course, tell the family. It also got leaked in media then, so it wasn't easy at all."
