Bollywood’s cutest couple, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh are the perfect example of couple goals. From maintaining the same vibe, they had during their dating phase to adorably raising their two kids, Riteish and Genelia are an inspiration to millions. It was in 2002, when two youngsters, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza, with a dream of making it big in the entertainment industry, had met each other at the Hyderabad airport. It was for the test shoot of their debut film, Tujhe Meri Kasam. Genelia had a preconceived notion about Riteish for hailing from an influential political family. But as they say, somethings are just meant to be. During the shoot, the two had struck a beautiful friendship, which had eventually turned into love. And after dating one another for ten years, the two had tied the knot on February 3, 2012. The beautiful couple is doting parents to two adorable kids, Riaan and Rahyl.
Riteish and Genelia are celebrating their 9th wedding anniversary and in an interview with the Bombay Times, Riteish talked about their happy relationship. Calling it a journey of 19 years, Riteish said, “It’s been a wonderful journey. To be in a relationship or a marriage that is so good is a blessing. We have known each other for 19 years.” Riteish further revealed how Genelia is the driving force if his life and stated, “She helped me better my food habits. I used to eat at 1 am or at any given time, but today, I am done with my dinner by 7 pm. In fact, I used to be a hardcore non-vegetarian, but for four years, I have been a vegetarian. It’s been nearly eight months now that I have turned vegan. Also, Genelia has given my life a structure. She has taught me time management. I didn’t know a day could have so much time (smiles!).”
A few minutes back, Genelia took to her IG handle and wished her hubby, Riteish on their 9th wedding anniversary. Sharing an adorable video, Genelia wrote, “Dearest @riteishd, You don’t find love, it finds you, It’s got a little bit to do with destiny, fate, what’s written in the stars and a lot to do with special kind of you. There is no me without you… I’m totally madly, crazy in love you. Happy Anniversary Love.”
Riteish and Genelia had appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show where they had talked about their love story and married life. During the show, the host, Kapil Sharma had asked a funny question to Riteish and his reply had made us ROFL. As the lovely couple had made themselves comfortable in their respective seats, Kapil had introduced Riteish hailing from a political family and had asked him whether the couple had taken pheras or oath on their wedding. Giving a hilarious response to Kapil, Riteish had said, “Phere liye they. The lovely couple often shares glimpses of their love-filled moments, making us drool-over their chemistry and January 23, 2021, was no different. Genelia had taken to her IG handle and had shared a glimpse of her lovely morning with Riteish. In the video, Riteish was seen hugging Genelia as he had gotten up from the bed and it had just made our heart skip a beat.
