Similarly, on February 3, 2019, on their wedding anniversary, Genelia had taken to her official Instagram handle and had wished her hubby with the most adorable words. Sharing a happy throwback picture with her hubby, Genelia had written, “Every girl has a certain perception of how they would want their life partner to be... I Honestly Didn’t. I had this most amazing partner who was my bestest friend, who was the shoulder, I always found when I needed to cry and who made me believe that no matter how tough life is, with us being partners we would take it on, in any form, in any way.”
Her anniversary wish for Ritiesh could be further read as, "That’s the man I eventually married, and he never ever stopped being the reason for my smile. So, I’m glad I never ever had a perception because the reality of living and breathing this wonderful man is all I ever needed to know. I Love you @riteishd. Here’s to many more laughs together, to the zillion times we will wipe each other’s tears and pick each other up when either/or feels weak or simply to live together forever and ever. Happy Anniversary."
Riteish and Genelia, have time and again, talked about their relationship publicly. In an interview, Riteish had shared the success mantra of his relationship with Genelia. He was quoted as saying, "Every time we need to find something that is out of the ordinary. If you are in a life that you are spending together, and if every day becomes routine, it’s important to break that routine. And, once you break that routine, it will add freshness to your life. And that routine should be a surprise. “Oh, are we doing this today?” That ‘Oh’ factor in a relationship, always keeps it going."
Commenting on the same, Genelia had simply said, "We enjoy our time together. Romance and all are big words. Just the fact you enjoy each other, love each other and you 'can' spend 24 hours of a day with each other is important."
