Indian cricketer, Rishabh Pant has been poorly injured while he was travelling on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. The clash was so severe that the cricketer was immediately hospitalised in a nearby hospital. If the early reports are to be believed, Rishabh Pant had suffered head and leg injuries after his car collided with a divider. As per the reports, the cricketer was travelling to his hometown, Roorkee, Uttarakhand, when his car crashed into a divider.
As soon as the reports of the cricketer being admitted to the hospital were made public, Rishabh Pant’s massive fanbase started panicking. However, former Indian cricketer, VVS Laxman, who is the chief of the National Cricket Academy (NCA), shared an important health update about Rishabh Pant’s car accident. The veteran stated that the cricketer is out of danger. However, it will be difficult to tell more about the extent of Rishabh Pant’s injuries. Reportedly, the accident took place around 5:30 a.m. on December 30, 2022.

In a conversation with the media, Ashok Kumar, who is the Director General of Uttarakhand Police, shared important details about Rishabh Pant’s car crash on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. The Director General revealed that the car crash happened in the Mohammedpur Jat area, near the cricketer’s destination and hometown, Roorkee.

The Director General of Uttarakhand Police, Ashok Kumar further revealed that the cause of Rishabh Pant’s car crash was the fact that he dozed off while driving on the highway and couldn’t manage to dodge a divider. Ashok Kumar convinced people that the cricketer is currently admitted to a small hospital in Roorkee, but soon he will be shifted to Dehradun. In his words:
"The incident took place at Mohammedpur Jat near Roorkee. According to what Pant said, he dozed off while driving and as a result the car collided with the divider and caught fire. He was moved to the Roorkee hospital from where he has now been shifted to Dehradun."
After reports about Rishabh Pant's car crash in Uttrakhand were made public, the state's Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami reacted to the tragic news. The news agency, ANI took to their Twitter handle and shared a picture of the politician, along with his reaction to Rishabh Pant's severe car accident. In his statement to the news agency, Pushkar Singh Dhami confirmed that the cricketer had been shifted to Dehradun and the best facilities will be provided to him. He also wished and prayed for his speedy recovery. The tweet reads:
"Cricketer Rishabh Pant met with an accident near Roorkee today. He is being taken to Dehradun for further treatment. All the healthcare facilities will be taken care of. We pray for his speedy recovery: Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami."
