Ridhi Dogra Breaks Silence On Finding New Love After Divorce From Raqesh Bapat, 'Prefer Someone...'

Ridhi Dogra is a popular actress who has successfully made her place in both the TV and Bollywood industries. In a recent conversation, Ridhi opened up about finding new love after her divorce.

Ridhi Dogra reveals that she wishes to have a self-made man

Recently, Ridhi Dogra appeared on the podcast of Yuvika Chaudhary. During the conversation, Ridhi was asked whether she had a checklist for her future partner. In response, Ridhi said that she doesn’t have a fixed checklist, but there are definitely a few basic qualities she looks for in her future partner. The Asur actress mentioned that she prefers a man who is self-made and respects individuality. Ridhi highlighted that her partner must feel secure within himself, and it’s very important for her. Ridhi added that she is at a stage in life where insecurity just won’t work. She was quoted as saying:

"I don't really have a fixed checklist, but yes, there are a few basic qualities I look for in a partner. I'd definitely prefer someone who is self-made and respects individuality. Someone who is secure within himself is very important to me. I'm at a stage in life where I'm completely secure about who I am, so being with someone who feels insecure around me just won't work."

Ridhi Dogra shares the reason why she is not considering settling down currently

During the same conversation, Ridhi shared the reason why she is not considering settling down currently. The Married Woman actress stated that she is extremely independent and can take care of herself, manage her home, and handle her finances and investments. She highlighted that sometimes men tend to feel the need to take charge of everything because of their ego. So, she would want someone secure enough to accept that a woman is strong and independent, too. Ridhi added that if she found someone so secure, she would settle down and get married. She was quoted as saying:

"I'm extremely independent, I can take care of myself, manage my home, handle my finances and investments. And sometimes, men tend to feel the need to take charge of everything, which often comes from ego. So I would want someone who has a sense of self, but is also secure enough to accept that his partner is strong and independent too. Someone who doesn't feel threatened by that. Honestly, if I ever meet someone like this, I'Il naturally see myself settling down and getting married."

For the unversed, Ridhi Dogra tied the knot with actor, Raqesh Bapat in May 2011. However, in 2019, the couple called it quits. Earlier, this year, in 2026, Ridhi appeared in a podcast for Balaji Telefilms’ YouTube channel. During the conversation, the Woh Apna Sa star revealed that she and her ex-husband, Raqesh, are very good friends. She stated that they were not compatible as partners, as husband and wife, but they are very good friends. She was quoted as saying:

"Me and my ex-husband Raak, we are very good friends. So, we have actually, you know, saved our friendship by getting out of the marriage because we were not compatible as partners, as husband and wife, but we are very, very good friends. We trust each other. We can, you know, guard each other's secrets and stand up for each other."
