For those unaware, Whitney Rose has been married to Justin Rose for over 16 years. Just months after reports claimed that their marriage had taken a hit, it seems that Whitney and Justin are over for good.
Whitney Rose files for divorce from her husband
According to Page Six, Whitney Rose has filed for divorce from her husband, Justin Rose. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star filed paperwork in the Third District Court, Salt Lake Department on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. While most documents that are filed in a divorce case in Utah are classified as private, the outlet confirmed that Whitney also submitted a proposed parenting plan.
Whitney and Justin tied the knot in November 2009. They share two children. Sources told Page Six in July 2026 that both Whitney and Justin had expressed “frustrations” about their marriage while speaking to their loved ones in recent times. In fact, they said that the reason the pair had continued “existing” as a couple till now was “for the sake of their kids.”
Reportedly, Whitney and Justin Rose were “living separate lives” before the reality star ultimately decided to file for divorce. An insider spilled, "They are never together, even when they are in the same place, like the gym.” Referring to Whitney’s show RHOSLC, they added that the “show is bad on relationships,” as she was barely at her and her husband’s shared home before Season 7.
It is worth mentioning that in November 2025, Whitney acknowledged in her anniversary post that she and Justin had been through a lot of stuff together. Despite this, they chose to love each other “every step of the way.”
While her words sounded remarkable at the time and seemed like they would continue forward as a married couple, fans were quick to notice that Justin was missing from her Instagram dump in the summer of 2026. In the post, Whitney Rose mentioned all the things and people that brought her happiness and joy. She captioned the 18-slide carousel:
“This summer, I have been enjoying the simple things that bring my life the deepest sense of happiness and joy. Time with my family, Bobbie & Brooks, sunrises, sunsets, food, golf, friends, mountains, sunshine, and healing.”
What caused the breakdown of Whitney Rose and Justin Rose’s marriage?
According to the sources, financial stress has played a part in Whitney and Justin’s marriage slowly breaking down in the last couple of years. In March 2022, Justin was fired from his role as a senior executive at LifeVantage Corporation, a direct-sales health and wellness company.
For those unaware, this was just after the couple’s infamous “Love is Art” scene aired as part of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 2. Whitney and Justin had to strip down to their underwear as part of an intimacy exercise. Following this, they covered each other in body paint.
Justin later revealed that his former bosses told him they couldn't *make this continue to work” because his wife was a “public figure.” His firing had led to him being out of work for a year. Whitney confessed on the show that this period significantly affected their relationship and household dynamic. While speaking with her co-star Angie Katsanevas, she said:
“It was our anniversary. I just asked, ‘Do you still wanna do this?’ He was like, ‘Do you?’ I was like, ‘I don't know.’”
