Wedding season is in full bloom in Bollywood with yet another star wedding adding to this year’s list. The handsome actor of the acclaimed movie Fukrey, Pulkit Samrat tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Shweta Rohira on November 3, 2014, in a destination wedding at Goa. Shweta Rohira also happens to be the ‘rakhi sister’ of the Bhai of Bollywood, Salman Khan. With biggies from Bollywood attending this wedding, it surely became a much talked about wedding ceremony.

Pulkit started his acting career from the telly serial, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Thereafter, he climbed the stairs of success swiftly with many Bollywood movies in his kitty like Bittoo Boss, Fukrey, Jai Ho, and O Teri. The two first met when Shweta was a freelance journalist, and had come to interview Pulkit for a project that her mother had assigned to her. And guess what, it was Shweta’s mother who played the cupid between this cute jodi.

In one of his recent interviews, Pulkit was candid enough to admit that Shweta may not be his first girlfriend but she is definitely the last one. He also elaborated on his relationship with Shweta saying, “She is a Sindhi girl from Mumbai who is running her own boutique, but when we first met, she was a freelance journalist who had come to interview me while I was doing Kyunki... We became friends and then started seeing each other. Marriage is only a certificate. We are already married for life."

The wedding seemed to be all fun and frolic, and the couple truly looked made for each other. Pulkit looked amazing in a golden sherwani with a beautiful sehra. At the same time, Shweta dazzled in a traditional pink lehenga.

It was Ashley Rebello, the personal stylist of Salman Khan, who designed the groom’s attire. Ashley said that, “Pulkit was very clear on what he wanted to wear. For the mehendi, he wore a chequered kurta with a sleeveless pinkish red Nehru jacket. For the wedding, he wore a linen gold sherwani with zardosi work and a dull gold dhoti. At the reception, I dressed him up in an ink blue velvet suit with a white tuxedo shirt and sequin pin tucks and a white bow. I am glad Pulkit and I could work so closely on the different looks.”

Salman Khan, who completed all the rituals of the wedding including the kanyadaan, looked dashing in a blue kurta teamed up with a saffron pagdi.
The wedding ceremony was attended by Salman Khan along with his khandan that included Arbaz Khan, Sohail Khan, and Atul Agnihotri. Apart from the Khan family, Daisy Shah, Eli Avram and Ritesh Sidwani also attended this spectacular destination wedding at Goa.
Actress Daisy Shah, who enjoyed every bit of the wedding, had some special time with the bride. She even posted a picture on a social networking site stating, “Clicked few Minutes b4 she became Mrs Samrat... Bride n her Momma.”
Many stars, who could not attend the wedding, extended their heartfelt wishes on twitter. Farhan Akhtar sent his wishes saying, “Congratulations @PulkitSamrat and Shweta. Sorry I can’t be there to celebrate the wedding but all my love and best wishes to you both.”
While Riteish Deshmukh, with whom Pulkit will be seen in the movie Bangistan, tweeted, “Wishing the groom @PulkitSamrat & the lovely bride Shweta- a happy married life - sorry we couldn't be there. Come back n we party soon.”
