The very own Hyderabadi princess of Bollywood, Dia Mirza married her beau Sahil Sangha on October 18. They have known each other since 2009, and officially confirmed their relationship in April 2014 after their formal engagement. The much-awaited wedding ceremony of Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha took place in Delhi in the presence of family and friends.

Someone truly said that marriages are made in heaven. You never know whom god has chosen for you, but you know it when you meet that person. Their friendship started when Sahil visited Dia Mirza to narrate the script of a film. And after dating each other for a long time, it was only in 2014 that Sahil proposed Dia.

It was like a chapter from a fairy tale novel when Sahil went on his knees, and proposed Dia in the middle of the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. Dia was overwhelmed and said yes, while the visitors applauded and cheered for the couple. Both Sahil and Dia had gone to New York to attend an Award ceremony and as luck would have it, came back as a couple.
Like any other couple, Dia and Sahil seemed highly excited about all the pre-wedding functions. Their happiness was pretty evident in the pre-wedding functions that took place in full swing.
The mehendi ceremony of Dia Mirza took place in Delhi on October 16. She looked drop-dead gorgeous in her sunshine yellow anarkali dress. This beautiful dress was designed by none other than Ritu Kumar. At the same time, Sahil Sangha looked splendid in a contrast maroon outfit. The cheerful couple is definitely a perfect example of made for each other.

The couple is simple, straight, and share same interests. Sahil is a food lover and mad about Hindi songs, and so is Dia. In their lavish sangeet ceremony, which was held in Delhi on October 17, Dia wore a dazzling purple and gold raw silk lehenga designed by Anita Dongre.
Oops, look what we found, the similar lehenga (below) was worn by Esha Gupta at a private function, which too designed by Anita Dongre. Seems like this master piece design is a hot favourite among bollywood celebrities. It is a beautiful purple netted lehenga with silver and golden embellished work all over it.

The couple selected Delhi as their wedding venue. It is because Sahil’s family and relatives are based out at Delhi. The wedding ceremony was a private affair with the presence of only close friends and relatives.
Dia Mirza, hails from Hyderabad, while Sahil Sangha is Sikh. However, the couple opted to get married as per Arya Samaj rituals, as both of them are believers of the same.
As for her wedding trousseau, Dia Mirza dazzled in a Ritu Kumar’s joda. Her post-wedding dress was designed by designer-duo Shantanu and Nikhil.

Before her mehendi ceremony, Dia kept her fans updated through twitter. She tweeted on October 9, “With my happiness :) thank you to all those who have conveyed such warm messages here. Sahil and I are grateful.” While she also shared her nervousness when she tweeted, “I realised today that despite all the preparedness nothing can prepare you from how overwhelming it can feel as a bride to be :) #breathe.”
