Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleSalman Khan shared a heated response to online trolling during the recent Bigg Boss Weekend Ka Vaar episode. The host lost his temper while talking about the types of comments celebrities have to face daily. He slammed the trolls for commenting on his weight, age, and hair.
It is worth mentioning that Salman’s response comes at a time when many actors are getting targeted and body-shamed over their changing appearances. Amid this, former Bigg Boss Season 10 contestant Monalisa has come out in support of Salman while also detailing her own experiences with body-shaming.
BB 10 fame Monalisa says she is ‘proud’ of Salman Khan
Taking to Instagram, Monalisa shared a heartfelt message while addressing Salman Khan. Showing her support for the Bigg Boss 20 host, she wrote, “Thank you @beingsalmankhan Sir for being you…I am so so proud.” She also wrote "Respect and claps, Salman Sir," on top of his picture.
In the same post, the actress went on to address the wider issue of age-shaming and body-shaming. She revealed that she, too, struggles with hormonal changes, anxiety, and weight gain. Monalisa claimed that she is ageing gracefully and she doesn't feel bad about it since it's natural. Opening up about the endless treatments that she had to undergo to get pregnant, Monalisa said that she was met with repeated failures.

At that time, she recalled being trolled with comments such as, “Ab toh maa ban jao, umar ho gayi hai.” Her post highlighted the constant pressure celebrities face in terms of the unrealistic expectations about appearance, age, and so on. With her post, Monalisa also made it clear that she would not entertain remarks about her age and physical appearance, and let them influence how she feels about herself.
What did Salman Khan say about the constant trolling?
During the Bigg Boss 20 Weekend Ka Vaar episode, host Salman Khan questioned why people feel the constant need to troll others over how they look. He said:
“What do you want to troll? And why do you want to troll? What is the mentality? It has happened with me too. Bhai mota ho gaya hai. Kar lo na troll, ye lo.”
Salman left everyone surprised when he proceeded to remove his hat and jacket in front of all the contestants and the audience. He added, “Kar lo trolling.” He even wiped off his makeup on stage and challenged people to troll him. For those unaware, Salman has recently faced serious trolling over his weight, age, and hairstyle. Some netizens also claimed that the Bollywood superstar might have undergone an alleged hair transplant.
After taking off his hat and jacket, Salman Khan remained shirtless throughout the episode. And despite his heated response to the trolls, he clarified that he understood when people comment about his appearance, as they are genuinely concerned about his health. However, Salman said that there is a clear difference between concern and deliberately mocking someone over their weight, age, and physical appearance.

During the same conversation, Salman also seemingly took a stand against postpartum trolling. He questioned why women are trolled after pregnancy, as they naturally gain weight during that period. He said:
"Why do you troll somebody who gets pregnant? Pregnant hone ke baad everyone puts on weight...Jab woh picturon mein wapas ajayegi toh woh fit ajayengi...she wants to spend time with her family."
Many believe that with his statements, Salman was defending his friend and fellow actor Katrina Kaif. While he did not explicitly take her name, his words seemed to fit, as Katrina was recently targeted online over her postpartum weight gain. This was after she made an appearance at the Ambanis' Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.
