An old video of Deepika Padukone from the sets of BFFs with Vogue is presently being surfaced online. The video is from a 2018 episode of the show where Deepika appeared with her sister, Anisha Padukone. In the video, we can see the host of the show, Neha Dhupia asking the Padmaavat actress, "If you weren't playing Padmavati, who could handle this role well enough?" To such a question, Deepika instantly replied, "Nobody." However, now the old clip from 2018 was shared by a Reddit handle under the caption, which can be read as:
"Do you agree with her?"

As soon as the video went viral on Reddit, netizens started bombarding the comment section with their opinions. Many users started debating about who could have played the role better if not Deepika Padukone. One name that kept coming up to this was none other than the talented actress, Aishwarya Rai.
Reacting to the old interview video, one user wrote, "The character screams Aishwarya Rai! Given that beauty was a plot point and the way Ash carried herself in Jodha Akbar and PS, I’d say Ash would’ve nailed it." Another user took to the comment section and wrote, "A huge +1 for Aish!! Reference: her roles in Jodhaa Akbar, Chokher Bali. Two that come to my mind." Another comment can be read as "Just came here to type Aish. She was amazing in Jodha Akbar." An internet user added, "Aishwarya and Priyanka would have absolutely killed it."

Deepika Padukone was recently trolled for posting BTS photos from Oscar just a day before Alia Bhatt made her Met Gala 2023 debut. However, soon after that, the actress again became the target of massive trolling for reportedly following an anti-Alia account on Twitter, which she reportedly unfollowed after she learned about the malicious account. However, the authenticity of such a tweet was not proven.
