Raymond Berry, a former New England Patriots coach, passed away at the age of 93. The Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver died at his house in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He had teamed up with the Baltimore quarterback Johnny Unitas, who had made the Colts victorious when they had a match against the New York Giants. Raymond Berry reportedly had a very peaceful death.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame family issued a statement, according to reports on social media. Raymond has left behind his wife, Sally, who is aged 65. Raymond Berry in the history of NFL was one of the handful of players who had changed the game. Raymond Berry's name will never be forgotten, as an AFP report stated that, as a player during a historic era of Colts football, he redefined the standard for what a wide receiver could and should be. In simple words, not only was Raymond Berry one of the greatest players in the history of the Colts, but he was also one of the most influential and foundational players of the modern NFL.

The report by the publication shared that Texas native, Raymond was picked in the 20th NFL draft back in 1954. He was known for his hard work and dedication. The report revealed that he had an average speed; Raymond's legs were of different lengths. He also had a bad back, along with imperfect eyesight and oversized feet, in high school. Raymond was given the nickname called 'Skis'.

However, Raymond ended up being a superstar himself. He had done a lot of preparations during his studies and to also ace his game. He also reportedly used to strengthen his fingers to practice the game on the field. Berry was known to be one of the greatest pass catchers of his time. In his 13-year career with the Baltimore Colts, from 1955 to 1967. His partnership with Johnny had helped Raymond define the passing game, and the game of professional football had become a national craze.

However, after retiring back in 1967, Berry became a wide receivers coach for the Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots. He was also the Pats' head coach from 1984 to 1989. Once, the Chicago Bears were badly crushed in a game. Well, when the Super Bowl defeated the Bears, there were issues related to a lot of New England players struggling with various drug-related issues. Berry had got attention to the issue and demanded stronger action in the organisation. Berry was known to be a very religious man who never drank, smoked and had a lot of personal reasons for supporting drug related treatment.

Raymond and Johnny together had helped the Colts win consecutive titles in the late 1950s.
