However, post twenty years of their breakup, the actors appeared for the HT India’s Most Stylish 2023 awards on May 8, 2023. As per the reports, the duo indulged in chit-chat during the event. In a recent interview with ETimes, Raveena Tandon mentioned that she and Akshay are 'still friends.'
In a recent interview with ETimes, Raveena Tandon talked about her co-stars and her experience of working with them. Talking about the same, Raveena shared that she and Ajay Devgn did six-seven films together. She also shared that she and Sunny Deol were a hit pair back then and shared a great rapport. The actress also revealed that she and Sunny were recently offered a film together. In her words:
"Ajay Devgn and I did six-seven films. Sunny Deol and I shared a great rapport; we were a hit pair. Just recently too, we have been offered a film together."

In the same interview, the dynamic actress mentioned that she and Akshay are still friends. Ranveena added that things happen in people's lives, but they should learn to move on. Soon after that, Raveena said that she thinks of Akshay highly and praised him by saying that Akshay is one of the strongest pillars of the industry. Elaborating on the same, Raveena said:
"Akshay and I are still friends. You need to respect it and move on. I think of him very highly. I think he is one of the strongest pillars of our industry."
Further, in the same interview, Raveena Tandon talked about her relationship with Shilpa Shetty. For the unversed, Shilpa and Akshay reportedly dated after he broke up with Raveena. However, talking about her equation with Shilpa Shetty, Raveena shared that she and Shilpa are close friends. Raveena also revealed that there have been some things and experiences that bonded them together. She revealed that Shilpa and Shamita are close friends of her hubby, Anil Thadani. Reflecting on the same, Raveena Tandon stated:
"Shilpa and I have become close friends. There are things that have bonded us together. There are experiences that have bonded us together. Shilpa and Shamita have been close friends of my hubby. We keep sharing our good times and bad times together."
When the former couple Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon appeared together at the HT India’s Most Stylish 2023 awards after almost twenty years of breakup, it certainly grabbed all the eyeballs. However, at the event, Akshay bagged the Style Hall of Fame – Male award. Ravenna called out the name of the former on stage. Raveena congratulated him and handed the prize to him as he stepped up the stage to accept it.
