On January 10, 2023, Ratan Tata took to his Instagram handle and posted a 78-year-old picture of him and Jimmy Tata. The photograph was from the year 1945, and both brothers can be seen posing for the camera alongside an Indie dog. Along with this priceless picture, Ratan Tata penned a few words in the caption in which he recalled the time he had spent with him while they were growing up. His caption can be read as:
"Those were happy days. Nothing came between us. (1945 with my brother Jimmy)."

The iconic businessman, Naval Tata and his wife, Soonoo Tata had adopted a child, whom they had named Jimmy, and he went on to live one of the most low-key lives in the entire Tata family. If the reports are to be believed, Jimmy Tata lives in a 2BHK flat in Mumbai's Colaba area. He rarely makes public appearances, which is why there aren’t a lot of pictures of him on the internet.

After the demise of Naval Tata in 1989, Jimmy inherited his father’s position as the trustee of Sir Ratan Tata Trust.
