Ratan Raajputh Reveals Her Battles With Autoimmune Disease And Father's Demise Leading To Depression

In an interview, Ratan Raajputh spoke about how she fought depression and autoimmune disease. She also revealed whether she quit acting or not.

Ratan Raajputh Reveals Her Battles With Autoimmune Disease And Father's Demise Leading To Depression

Ratan Raajputh is one of the most loved actresses in the television industry. She once became a household name for her role as 'Laali' in the popular TV drama, Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo. Not only that, Ratan has also bagged many awards, including two 2009 Zee Rishtey Awards, the 2009 Indian Telly Awards, the 2010 Gold Awards and others for the same serial in various categories. Afterwards, she was also seen in many other serials. However, she has been absent from the acting world for a long time. And finally, she opened up about battling her father's demise, autoimmune disease, depression, and more.

Ratan Raajputh opens up about coping with her father's death and handling depression

In an interview with Zoom TV Digital, Ratan Raajputh was asked whether she left TV. To this, she immediately denied it and shared how her father's demise led her to depression. Thus, she took a break from her acting career. She revealed having an extremely dark phase in her life, when she was also diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, which took a lot of time to heal. She said:

"Acting choda bilkul nahi hai... Father ke death ke baad depression ka daura aaya, uske bad ek aisa phase aaya jiske baad mein bahut bimar padi. Aur aaj kal ek Fashion mein nam chal raha hai, autoimmune disorder. To ye jo fashionable bimari hai wo bada tough hai usko tackle kerne mei heal kerne mein mujhe bahut lamba samay laga. Aur ye sab karte karte ke dauran maine bahut kuch explore kiya."

Ratan reveals how she faced difficulties after getting diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder

In the same conversation, Ratan expressed her eagerness to return to acting. Not only that, the actress is also busy making a comeback onscreen. But she also mentioned how she faced several difficulties due to the autoimmune disorder, including eye-related problems. Elaborating how she wasn't able to face the light, Ratan added:

"I didn't quit acting. My father passed away, and after that, I got into depression. I got diagnosed with a disorder called an autoimmune disorder. Meri life se Light camera action gayab huwa kyu ki autoimmune disoder mein meri ankho se related problem thi. Mai light bilkul nahi face ker sakti thi. "

Ratan reveals she started travelling to heal from autoimmune disorder and depression

Further, Ratan shared her healing process. She mentioned being on a break until December and revealed she started fighting her mental health issues by travelling to newer places. She also started battling with it by undergoing LMNT (Licenced Medical Nutrition Therapy) treatment and stated:

"Filhal ke liye Maine break liya tha December tak. Mai aap ko kahi nahi dikhungi. Do do subjects se panga liya hai.. psychology and LMNT...to maan aur sharir ki padhai chal Rahi hai..mujhe lagta hai Abhinay eske baad shuru ho payega. "

Ratan Raajputh's professional life

Ratan Raajputh was born and brought up in Bihar. After doing her schooling from there, Ratan made her television debut with the serial, Raavan in 2006. Afterwards, she appeared in several TV shows, including Ratan Ka Rishta, Dil Se Diya Vachan, Santoshi Maa and others, and received many accolades. She also participated in a reality show, Bigg Boss 7, in 2013. And since the lockdown in 2020, Ratan started her YouTube channel, where she keeps sharing her travelling stories and beautiful Vlogs.
