Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal is one of the highest-grossing films of 2023. From the high-octane action sequence to the love triangle and more, Ranbir Kapoor-starrer, Animal garnered a lot of attention for all the positive as well as negative reasons. For the unversed, in the movie, Rashmika Mandanna played an important role as 'Geetanjali', who was Ranbir's on-screen wife. Moreover, in a recent interview, the national crush opened up about her experience of working with Ranbir and revealed how she reacted after she had to slap the actor during one scene.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Rashmika Mandanna opened up about a particular scene when her character had to slap Ranbir for being romantically involved with another woman despite being married. Rashmika shared that the director told her to feel how a normal person would have felt being in the same situation, and she just followed the same and acted. Sharing at that moment, her brain was going blank, Rashmika stated:
"The whole sequence was one take because there was a lot of moving. It wasn’t predictable. I didn’t know what I was going to do. Sandeep told me just to feel how a person in this situation would feel. I remember only this. I don’t remember anything between the action and the cut. I just can’t process it. My brain was just going blank."

Going further in the interview, Rashmika Mandanna also shared that she started crying and screaming after the scene was over. She also recalled going to Ranbir and asking him if he was okay. The actress further added how much she was happy after performing in such a particular sequence and this movie overall. Rashmika can be quoted as saying:
"After the sequence, I was crying for real. I have slapped him, I am screaming, the chaos is happening, and I go to Ranbir, and I am like, ‘Was that okay? Are you okay?' We finished that sequence in half a day. I loved it, and at that moment, I realised that this is the high of being an actor. People don’t write sequences like this every time. I am so glad that I did this movie and this sequence. I was surprised with myself.”
As soon as the trailer of the then-upcoming movie, Animal was dropped, netizens started sharing their opinions. Moreover, in one of the scenes, Rashmika could be seen talking in a gritted-teeth manner, which a certain section of netizens didn't like and started mocking the same while questioning the diva's acting skills. However, it is worth mentioning that Sandeep later gave a clarification on the same and revealed that he wanted to portray real emotion in that scene, which is why Rashmika was talking in that manner like any other person would have while going through such an emotional phase.
After Animal's massive success at the box office, Rashmika Mandanna took to her IG handle and posted a photo along with a long, heartfelt note describing her character in the movie. The diva shared how, despite having a lot of doubts about 'Geetanjali's actions in the movie, at times, she felt blessed to essay the role of such an authentic, raw, and strong female character who just works hard to put her family together.

Soon after Animal was launched on screens, hints about its sequel were served by the director of the movie. For the unversed, in the concluding segment of Animal, we could see Ranbir's double role, 'Aziz', who will be going after the protagonist to take revenge for killing his brother, i.e., the silent antagonist Bobby Deol. Although we could already see Triptii Dimri and Ranbir Kapoor being there in a short introductory clip of the sequel of Animal, there have been a lot of questions regarding Rashmika and Bobby being there in Animal Park. While no information about the same is available yet, people have been rooting to see not only Rashmika but also Bobby Deol in Animal Park.
