Raqesh Bapat Recalls His Divorce With Ridhi Dogra On 'Bigg Boss Marathi' 6, 'I Married My Friend...'

The Marathi version of the much-loved reality show, Bigg Boss has finally returned with its sixth season. The show is hosted by actor, Riteish Deshmukh. The reality show, which premiered on January 11, 2026, featured several TV personalities. One of them is Raqesh Bapat, who previously was a part of Bigg Boss OTT season 1. Well, on the show, the actor recalled his divorce with ex-wife, Ridhi Dogra.

Raqesh Bapat calls Ridhi Dogra his friend even after their divorce

In one of the latest episodes of Bigg Boss Marathi season 6, actor, Raqesh Bapat was seen having a heart-to-heart conversation with his co-contestant, Karan Sonawane. The two were sharing their point of views on marriage. When Karan expressed some uncertainty towards getting married, Raqesh gave him honest advice and shared that he is at the right age to get married. Raqesh was quoted as saying:

"If you want to get married, do it now, take this leap in life. You should definitely taste the 'marriage laddoo' at least once."

Further, when Karan Sonawane asked Raqesh Bapat on how to choose the right partner, the latter recalled his marriage with actress, Ridhi Dogra and shared that he had tied the knot to a friend. Raqesh explained that he met Ridhi while working on the same show. The two became friends and soon decided to get married. He also mentioned that even after their divorce, they remain very good friends and are always there for each other. Raqesh was quoted as saying:

"I married my friend. I met my partner while I was working. We were working on the same show. We became very good friends and then decided to get married. Even after separating, we are still good friends. I always stand by her, and she always stands by me. She hasn't remarried, and neither have I."

Who is Raqesh Bapat’s ex-wife, Ridhi Dogra?

For those who do not know, Ridhi Dogra is a celebrated and versatile Indian actress. She was born and brought up in Delhi and completed her graduation in Psychology. Later, she trained as a dancer at the Shiamak Dawar Dance Institute. Ridhi made her acting debut in 2007 with Jhoome Jiiya Re. Later, she appeared in Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak?, Woh Apna Sa and more. She was also a part of the reality shows, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 6 and Nach Baliye 6.

Apart from television shows and reality shows, Ridhi Dogra has also been a part of multiple web series and hit films. For the uninitiated, Ridhi has appeared in web series like The Married Woman, Asur, Kull: The Legacy of the Raisingghs and more. Ridhi has also been a part of hit films like Lakadbaggha, Jawan and Tiger 3.

Raqesh Bapat was in a relationship with Shamita Shetty after his divorce

It is worth mentioning that after his divorce with Ridhi, Raqesh Bapat was in a relationship with Bollywood actress, Shamita Shetty. The two met on the show, Bigg Boss OTT season 1. During the show, they formed a close connection. At times, Raqesh had admitted that there was something more than friendship between the two. After the show ended, the duo continued to see each other and reportedly explored a relationship. In 2022, Shamita publicly confirmed that they had broken up and were no longer together. Apart from this, Raqesh had not been publicly linked with anyone.
