Koffee With Karan's latest episode featured two gorgeous divas, including Rani Mukerji and Kajol, revealing various unknown anecdotes from their lives. However, Rani, who is married to a well-known film producer and head of Yash Raj Films, Aditya Chopra, revealed why and how they keep their daughter, Adira away from media attention. For the unversed, Rani and Aditya welcomed their baby girl, Adira into their lives in the year 2015. Since then, the doting parents have been trying their best to shield Adira from the public eye, and hardly a couple of photos of the baby girl have surfaced on the internet till now.
As Rani Mukerji graced episode 6 of Koffee with Karan season 8, she opened up about keeping her daughter, Adira much away from the public eye. She also talked about her successful efforts to shield Adira from the media, despite the presence of paparazzi. It was when, during the course of the conversation at Koffee with Karan, the host of the show, Karan Johar asked Rani how she could successfully shield her daughter from the paps, she explained clearly how an endearing look of her could easily do so. The actress mentioned that she initially asks the paps not to click Adira's pictures, and then they get scared after looking into her eyes. Rani added:
"I simply tell them not to snap the baby's picture. They look into my eyes, and they get scared."
In the same conversation, Rani also talked about the kind of human being her husband, Aditya Chopra is. Speaking on the same lines, Rani mentioned that it is her and Aditya's mutual decision to keep Adira out of the public stare. Then, explaining the reason behind the same, Rani shared that she and her husband prefer that Adira shouldn't receive any special attention. Thus, elaborating how this decision has helped Adira to be not a very special kid at school and other places, the doting mommy stated:
"Right from the time Adira was born, I have to thank all the paparazzi and all the media people; they really love me because they kind of respected that. They know how Adi (Aditya Chopra) is. It was our decision together that we didn't want Adira to be photographed because we have a different idea of how we want to raise Adira, so that she doesn't feel privileged or she doesn't feel very special at school, and she feels like any other kid. And she doesn't get any extra attention. That was something Adi and I wanted for her. That would only happen if she would not be photographed."
Further, Rani recalled the first time, she travelled with Adira outside the country and called it a significant moment. Narrating the incident, the Mardani actress mentioned how this was also the first encounter of her baby girl with the paps. Thus, she had soon requested the paps not to click a picture and shared, "Please don't take pictures of the baby." However, Rani also mentioned how the paps are also extremely cordial with her and have respected her wishes since that day. Furthermore, since then, every time she travels, the paps patiently wait till Adira is safely inside the car or airport before they start capturing Rani's photos or videos.
In an old interview with The Times Of India, Rani had revealed how her daughter, Adira has inherited her Bengali tastes and is a foodie. The diva talked about an anecdote from the annual Durga Puja celebrations in the Mukherjee family and revealed how Adira developed a liking for kadak chai in a kulhad. Rani then mentioned how her daughter loves to dress up. Moreover, she revealed that Adira had specially requested her mommy to get a saree for herself from Kolkata, which she was very excited to wear.
