Bollywood actress, Rani Mukerji gave birth to a healthy baby girl on December 9, 2015. Director Aditya Chopra and Rani have named their baby, Adira (Adi+Ra! Now, that is pretty adorable!). She was born in Breach Candy Hospital, in Mumbai, in the morning. Uday Chopra broke the news on Twitter.
Many other celebs, including Karan Johar, Riteish Deshmukh and Parineeti Chopra congratulated the couple on Twitter.

According to media reports, Adira is already way more ahead in life than many of us, as she owns two bungalows in Juhu, Mumbai! These two bungalows, which are still under construction are gifts from her doting parents, Aditya and Rani.
The location was chosen keeping in mind the distance from Aditya's work place, Yash Raj Studios and Rani's residence at Yari Road.

Karan took to Twitter to congratulate the couple as well as Uday Chopra, who is Adira’s uncle:
“Am an uncle to a beautiful baby girl today!!!! @udaychopra !!! Rani and Adi had a baby girl.

Rani was quoted by the press, saying:
"I would like to thank all my well-wishers and fans. Today life has given us God’s greatest gift with Adira. We thank fans, our friends, and well-wishers for their unconditional support and blessings. With joy we begin this new chapter in our lives."
This question was on the minds of all the fans of this Bengal tigress. Since she gave birth to her daughter, Adira,Rani Mukerji did not make any public apperances. In fact, she did not even step out of her house. The reason behind this was- Rani is a complete hands-on mom, who loves to dote on her kid. So, she was completely into taking care of her daughter, and did not have time for anything else.
Finally, the actress came out and made a public appearance yesterday (July 7, 2016), and she stunned everyone with the drastic change in her appearance. Rani has gained quite a lot weight post pregnancy. But, that it something very natural to happen to her, isn't it? In fact, it is nice to see the newbie mom enjoying this new phase of her life.
