It was in 2012 when Saif and Kareena had an intimate registered marriage and four years later in 2016, were blessed with their little bundle of joy, Taimur Ali Khan. When Kareena Kapoor Khan was pregnant with Taimur Ali Khan, she had left no stone unturned to become a sheer inspiration to every mommy-to-be. During a promotional event of her film, Good Newwz, Kareena had revealed that when she found out she's pregnant, she had told her husband, Saif Ali Khan first and he was extremely happy. On August 2, 2020, Kareena had posted a throwback picture from a magazine shoot on her IG story and had revealed that she had her son, Tim in her tummy. Reposting the picture, which was posted on IG story by stylist, Anaita Shroff Adajania, Kareena had written, “God I remember this… Tim was in my tummy.”
Kareena Kapoor Khan has been enjoying her lockdown at home with hubby, Saif Ali Khan and their little one, Taimur Ali Khan. If the reports are to be believed, Kareena and Saif are expecting their second child and soon, Taimur will be promoted to 'big brother'. Kareena's father, Randhir Kapoor reacted on the conjectures and in an interview with The Times of India, he said, "I hope it's true and if so, I would be very happy. Do bachche toh hone chahiye to give each other company." Now, Saif and Kareena released an official statement and said, "We are very pleased to announce that we are expecting an addition to our family !!Thank you to all our well wishers for all their love and support."
In 2018, Kareena Kapoor Khan had featured on Komal Nahta’s show, Starry Nights 2.Oh! and it was there that she had answered to the most-asked question, 'When are you planning to extend your family?' Back then, when Kareena was asked if she and her hubby, Saif Ali Khan are planning to have a second child, she had retorted, "After two years." In an interview with film critic, Rajeev Masand, Kareena Kapoor Khan had spoken about how her parenting approach was all about personal experiences. She had said, "When it comes to being a mother, my experiences are very personal and it’s my own. Because there is no crown for following it (parenting methods). Of course, there are like thousands of books (on parenting) which you can read. I read all of them but I got really bored. So, I said I am just going to figure it out, each day. And each day is a learning. I don’t look at life through my eyes. I only look at life through my son’s eyes…Earlier, when he was like seven or eight months, I would be like, ‘No no, I am going to be really chilled out and very relaxed,’ but it is like I can’t. I am obsessed. I just can’t…I can’t help it. But I am sure all mothers are."
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have been making the most of their lockdown phase with their little bundle of joy, Taimur Ali Khan and in an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, the former had revealed that they are planning to shift into a slightly larger apartment, which is located opposite to where they're currently staying and will put this house on rent. Revealing the details on why he is being snapped often outside his apartment and the family time he is enjoying during the lockdown, Saif had said, "Our new home is being renovated, which is why I hop across to see how things are coming along and not because I feel cooped in. I’m enjoying this time with my family. My sister Soha and her husband Kunal (Kemmu) come over sometimes, as do my kids Sara and Ibrahim. My other sister, Saba, too, has moved to Mumbai. Only, mother (Sharmila Tagore) is in a rented apartment in Delhi because the lockdown happened while she was doing up her place. So now, even she is overseeing the renovation work there.
