During the conversation, the Kapoor brothers had recalled some of their childhood memories. Rajiv Kapoor had shared that his elder brothers, Randhir and Rishi used to bully him. He had said, “Being the youngest, 15 years to Randhir Kapoor and 10 years to Rishi Kapoor, so whatever you do or whatever you say is always looked down and never taken seriously until and unless you make a serious bond, then a second thought is given to it.” Rishi ji had shared that Rajiv Kapoor’s nickname, Chimpu was coined from the term ‘Champion’ and was given to him by their late father, Raj Kapoor. I treat him like my son.” Continuing to this, Rishi ji had said, “Its like my father and my youngest chacha, Shashi Kapoor. Rajiv Kapoor was the younger brother of the late actor, Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor. He was best known for his performances in the film, Ram Teri Ganga Maili and Ek Jaan Hain Hum. He had also directed the film, Prem Granth, which had starred Rishi Kapoor in the lead. In an interview with Cinestaan.com, Rajiv Kapoor had talked why his career didn’t take off and had said, “As far as my career is concerned, Ram Teri Ganga Maili is the best film I did. The other films didn’t do well, but not all were bad. The sad part was that everybody wanted to project me like Shammi Kapoor, because I looked like him. To summarise in simple language – hit is fit. If your movies did well things would be on a different tangent. I did some nice films which had good music, but not many did well.” (Must Read: Throwback: Rishi Kapoor Revealed Exactly When Wife, Neetu Kapoor Conceived Their Son, Ranbir Kapoor)
