Ranbir Kapoor is riding high on the success of his much-awaited film, Animal, which broke all the box office records of the year 2023. He was recently awarded the Best Actor for his role in Animal, making it one of the most memorable moments of his life. While accepting the award, Ranbir bared his heart out as he missed his father, the late actor, Rishi Kapoor.
Ranbir also mentioned his daughter, Raha’s name during his speech and also shared how he started shooting for Animal just a week after Raha was born. Calling fatherhood, the most joyful experience, Ranbir mentioned:
“Last but not least," My daughter Raha, you were born and a week later I started the shoot of Animal. And every single day just to come home to you has been the most joyful experience, I love you daughtee. Mama and Papa are bringing you a bua and a massi (he addressed the awards as bua and maasi) to play with.”

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's daughter was born on November 6, 2022, and they named her Raha Kapoor. The unique name was chosen by none other than the baby girl's doting dadi, Neetu Kapoor. It was during the Kapoor family Christmas lunch when Ranbir and Alia introduced their daughter to the paps.
For her first look, the blue-eyed star kid wore the perfect Christmas dress. In the glimpses, Raha was seen dressed in a pink and white tulle dress with a 'Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer' work embellished on it. She completed her look with a pair of red shoes and pink floral clips.

For the promotion of Animal, Ranbir Kapoor made an appearance on the show, Unstoppable with NBK with Rashmika Mandanna. During one of the segments of the episode, Ranbir showed off his tattoo, which he got inked on his collarbone. The doting daddy flaunted the tattoo, which featured his daughter, Raha’s name. While showing his tattoo to the host of the show, he was heard saying:
"So, I have the name of my daughter, Raha."

During the music launch event of Animal, Ranbir Kapoor was asked about what he tells his daughter whenever he is away from her, and they are on video calls. To this, Ranbir gave an adorable reply and said that Raha learned to respond as she has been giving flying kisses, and making a sweet hug gesture whenever she has to say 'I love you'. Raha's doting dad also said that it is the biggest joy of his life.
