Ranbir Kapoor played the main character in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic, Sanju in 2018. However, much before this, the duo shares a beautiful bond and proof of the same is often found. From Ranbir revealing how he has been obsessed with Sanjay's acting skills since his childhood days to the latter advising the former and his wife, Alia Bhatt to have babies soon after their marriage, the actors duo gives pure friendship goals. In addition, both Sanjay and Ranbir's families are extremely close to each other and a glimpse of it was shown in Trishala Dutt's recent posts on Instagram.
For the unversed, Trishala Dutt is the daughter of Sanjay Dutt and his first wife, late Richa Sharma. She is a psychotherapist by profession. And it seems, the celebrity daughter shares a beautiful friendship with Ranbir Kapoor. Taking to her IG stories, on December 20, 2023, Trishala shared a series of pictures from her dinner outing with her close friend, Ranbir Kapoor. Atop the picture, she penned:
"When an 'Animal' comes to visit."

Well, Trishala's caption on Ranbir's photo was enough to prove their friendship. In the picture, while Trishala donned a see-through patterned top with black pants and subtle makeup, Ranbir opted for a grey-hued sweater with a matching-coloured cap. Trishala also shared glimpses of their scrumptious meal in the following pictures. We can spot the duo feasting on delicious pasta and red wine.
Earlier, when Ranbir Kapoor treated his fans with the trailer of his then-upcoming film, Animal, everyone was startled by his portrayal of a revenge-seeking, alpha male character. However, his fans, on the other hand, could not stop comparing his looks in the film with another classic character in the cinema. Netizens mentioned that Ranbir's look in a white kurta and a tilak on his forehead had a striking resemblance with a similar look Sanjay in his film, Vaastav. Taking to their respective X handles, netizens had expressed their views on the same.

Time and again, Ranbir has mentioned being obsessed with Sanjay Dutt since childhood, and how the latter's fitness has inspired him. Furthermore, in an old interview, Ranbir had talked about how closely he was entangled with the film, Sanju. He revealed that even after the film’s shoot was over, he was still carrying on with the ‘Sanjay Dutt’ hangover. In Ranbir's words:
“I never took a character at home. Though after I finish Sanju... it took me time to get over the Sanjay Dutt hangover. This is because my eyes became like him, I started smiling like him, and I started walking like him. So that took a little time, but other than that, no other film."
