Veteran actress, Neetu Kapoor is looking forward to celebrating her birthday on July 8, 2023, and it looks like she will receive the most beautiful surprise from her son, Ranbir Kapoor. For the unversed, Neetu kickstarted her birthday celebrations with her daughter, Riddhima Kapoor, son-in-law, Bharat Sahni and grand-daughter, Samaira, in Milan, and shared multiple glimpses of the same on her Instagram handle. And now, her day is going to get super special for her!
Ahead of Neetu Kapoor’s birthday, Ranbir Kapoor was spotted at the airport by the paparazzi at the Mumbai airport. The actor was jetting off to London to surprise his mom on her birthday. He looked dapper in a white t-shirt and black pants, which he styled with white sneakers. When the paps clicked Ranbir Kapoor, he requested them not to post his pictures and videos on the same night as he was going to surprise his mother, Neetu Kapoor, on her birthday. He further added that if his mother finds out, it will ruin the surprise.

However, Ranbir Kapoor's wife, Alia Bhatt, and their daughter, Raha, didn't accompany him for the celebration. Reportedly, Alia is busy with the promotions of her upcoming film, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Talking about Neetu Kapoor, she was last seen in the film, JugJugg Jeeyo, alongside Kiara Advani, Varun Dhawan and Anil Kapoor. She also has the much-awaited film, Letters To Mrs Khanna, in the pipeline. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor will next be seen in the film, Animal, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna.
Bollywood's heartthrob, Ranbir Kapoor celebrated his 40th birthday on September 28, 2022, and he got a sweet birthday wish from his mommy, Neetu Kapoor, on his special day. Taking to her IG handle, Neetu had dropped an adorable picture with her loving son, in which the two could be seen sharing a candid moment together. Along with it, she penned the sweetest wish, which could be read as:

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Ranbir Kapoor talked about his early days and revealed that he lies the most to his mother, Neetu Kapoor. He also shared that he experienced a dark phase in his life when he was caught smoking as a child by his mother. Talking about the same, the actor said that his mother was devastated. Reflecting on the same, he said that he didn’t try to convince her that he would stop and added:
“I’ve lied to my mother the most. I used to get smacked a lot, I was very naughty. I’m a changed man now. When I first smoked a cigarette, and my mother found out… It was a very dark time in my life. It was a dark moment, I haven’t seen my mother feeling so devastated. She thought I was doing heroin. Of course, you feel bad. I apologised profusely, I begged for forgiveness. But eventually, I guess, parents also give up.”
