Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna are on a promotional spree for their upcoming film, Animal. Ranbir and Rashmika and the film’s director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, appeared on Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna’s show, Unstoppable with NBK to promote the film. On the show, Ranbir revealed a big scoop about his Animal co-star, Rashmika Mandanna’s relationship with Vijay Deverakonda.
It so happened that when Nandamuri drew comparisons between the poster of Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal and Vijay Deverakonda’s Arjun Reddy, and asked Sandeep and Rashmika to pick their favourite. At that moment, Ranbir chipped in and told her to pick between her ‘reel hero’ and ‘real hero’. When Rashmika refused to answer, Nandamuri asked Sandeep to call Vijay. Meanwhile, Ranbir told NBK to ask Rashmika to call him.

Ranbir also teased Rashmika for keeping a special name for Vijay on her contact list. When Vijay came online, the call was handed over to Rashmika, and the Arjun Reddy actor said, “What’s up, re?” To which, she warned him that he was on speaker. Later when Rashmika was asked to pick between Arjun Reddy and Animal, the actress stated:
“I have a connection with Arjun Reddy of its release so I have a connection with Arjun Reddy and Animal is my film, I like both of them.”
Hearing Rashmika’s diplomatic answer, Nandamuri Balakrishna asked what connection she was discussing. The actress revealed that Arjun Reddy was the first film she watched after moving to Hyderabad. It was at that moment that Ranbir dropped the biggest bomb and revealed:
“Sandeep met Rashmika for the first time at Arjun Reddy’s success party on Vijay’s terrace.”

There have been a lot of speculations about Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s relationship. Ever since the two had starred opposite each other in superhits like Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade, the rumours about their affair had started doing the rounds. Though neither Rashmika nor Vijay has addressed these rumours, their cute camaraderie proves they are head-over-heels in love.
It was back in September 2023, when Rashmika Mandanna dropped a cute photo as she was decked up in a pretty saree. In the photo, Rashmika could be seen flashing her million-dollar smile as she posed on the terrace. However, soon after that, netizens dug out a post of Vijay, wherein he could be seen posing against a similar background. Finding out the similarities, netizens started speculating if the rumoured couple had been living together.
