Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood, and there is no second thought about the fact. Moreover, it was his movie, Animal, which had been one of the highest-grossing films of 2023, and on its OTT release, the movie has been trending on number one. However, Animal brought a lot of positive and negative responses from the audience, and it was Ranbir's tremendous performance in the movie that brought him the Best Actor award at Filmfare. Soon after Ranbir bagged the winner's trophy, Shah Rukh Khan's fans seemed to be displeased as they took to the social media handle to express the same.

Recently, an old quote from Shah Rukh Khan about receiving awards made rounds on the discussion platform, Reddit. In the picture post, Karan Johar asked Shah Rukh what would be his reply if he couldn't bag any award in a year. To this, Shah Rukh gave a sassy reply and said that actually award doesn't deserve him. Now, SRK-ians have been sharing the same quote as Shah Rukh, as he received no award despite giving three blockbusters in 2023, Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki.

Netizens reactions to Shah Rukh Khan's old statement on winning awards

As soon as Shah Rukh Khan's quote was dropped on Reddit, netizens rushed to the comment section and penned down their opinions. Reacting to the post, one user penned, "If filmfare was ever fair…Sridevi, SRK, Karisma, PC would have had more awards." Another user took to the comment section and penned, "SRK fan here, but Ranbir deserved the award and SRK shouldn’t even be in the nomination list." On the other hand, taking to their Twitter handles, SRK fans dropped their opinions as he failed to win the Best Actor award. One user wrote, "Thank You @iamsrk for working so hard & entertaining the entire world with #Pathaan, #Jawan & #Dunki #Filmfare doesn't deserve #ShahRukhKhan!". Shah Rukh Khan revealed why he took a 4-year long break 

Shah Rukh Khan took a four-year-long break before he made a comeback in the industry with three back-to-back blockbusters, Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki. However, as per a report by News18, at an event, Shah Rukh revealed the reason for taking a break after the movie, Zero. In the interview, SRK said that it was never a break for him as it provided him with a lot of alone time, which is utterly important for actors. Talking more about the same, Shah Rukh mentioned how he first thought of taking a short break but it increased because of the pandemic. SRK said he spent a lot of time watching films, for which he didn't get much time, and understood what kind of films the audience preferred. Therefore, he started to work in that field accordingly.
