Ranbir Kapoor, Alia And Vicky Kaushal Are Fighting On 'Love And War' Set, Causing Delay In Release?

Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal are all set to be seen in one of the much-anticipated films, Love & War. Reports claimed that the movie will be released on August 14, 2026. However, earlier speculations were rife that the movie was being delayed due to an alleged fallout among Vicky, Katrina, and Alia. Now, an update has revealed the scenario of the much-anticipated movie, Love & War. 

When is Love & War releasing? The actual reason for the film being delayed

As per a report by Mid-Day, sources revealed that the unit is currently on a year-end break, which was scheduled months ago. Bhansali films are mounted on a massive scale, and any pause in the film would be seen as a delay. According to the sources, the remaining work will cover VFX and patchwork, as it is a period film. Sharing the status of the film, sources revealed:

"The unit is currently on a scheduled year-end break. This was locked months ago. Bhansali films are mounted on a massive scale, so any pause is immediately seen as a delay. Patchwork and VFX because it is a period film, select scenes, and musical portions."

Are Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal fighting on Love & War?

Earlier reports suggested that there was a speculated fight between the actors, Alia, Ranbir, and Vicky, while filming the movie, which caused the delay. According to a recent Mid-Day report, sources said there was never any fight among the three actors and that they have been fully committed to the film. The actors will resume their work from January to March 2026, and reportedly, the post-production will run alongside the movie. The sources revealed:

"There’s been no fallout. These are long, demanding shoots. Ranbir, Alia, and Vicky are fully on board and committed. They plan to resume by mid-January until March, with post-production moving along parallelly."

Earlier, reports suggested that Love & War was actually slated to be released on Christmas 2025, but it got delayed and then pushed to March 2026, for release. The team hasn't officially disclosed any information about the movie's release. Bollywood Hungama last year reported that the movie will actually be released in August 2026. Well, confirmation about the release date still awaits, as reports claimed that the movie is running much behind schedule than what was originally scheduled. If the reports are to be believed, the movie has a budget of Rs. 200 crore, excluding the cast's salary.

While not confirmed, Pinkvilla and Koimoi shared that Vicky Kaushal reportedly will earn Rs. 20 crore for his role in the movie, while Alia and Ranbir have agreed on a profit-sharing deal with SLB. Reportedly, SLB already sold the streaming rights to Netflix for Rs. 130 crore, even before the official announcement about the release. On the other hand, reports suggested that Saregama has the music rights of the movie, and Bhansali made the deal in exchange for Rs. 35 crore, while Rs. 50 crore had been reportedly spent on satellite rights and more. In a word, the movie is one of the most anticipated ones, and people have been waiting for it for a long time.
