Taking your relationship to the next level and officially announcing it to your friends, family and on social media is a milestone that every couple cherishes. A journey from being single to officially taken, wearing a ring to symbolise that you have found a partner for life and you have embarked on your journey of ‘happily ever after’ with him/her. The engagement ceremony holds a special place in a couple’s life as it is officially the beginning of their journey of togetherness. South superstar, Rana Daggubati has embarked on his journey with the love of his life, Miheeka Bajaj. It was on May 12, 2020, when Rana Daggubati had confirmed his relationship with Miheeka Bajaj, an entrepreneur, who is from a prominent business family in Hyderabad. Posting a loved-up picture with Miheeka, Rana had announced that he’s taken and had broken millions of hearts with his caption, "And she said 'yes' #MiheekaBajaj”. Soon his post flooded with congratulatory messages and wishes for the couple.
On May 20, 2020, Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj’s families had sat together for a formal meeting to formalise a date for the couple’s engagement and marriage. Posting a picture with his beautiful ladylove, Miheeka, Rana wrote, “And it’s official!!” Miheeka posted two pictures from the ceremony and wrote, "To the beginning of forever @ranadaggubati" and "My happy place!@ranadaggubati". While the picture looks like from their engagement ceremony, Rana’s father, Suresh Babu clarified that the couple is not yet engaged and was quoted as saying by the New Indian Express, “It’s not an engagement. Our families sat together on Wednesday to discuss what all has to be done for the pre and post-wedding functions. It’s a ritual among the Telugus to meet the bride’s parents before fixing the engagement and wedding dates. For the uninitiated, Miheeka Bajaj is a Mumbai-based interior designer, who runs an event management and decor company, Dew Drop Design Studio. She is a London graduate, having completed her Masters in Interior Architecture from the University of the Arts, London. Reports suggest that Miheeka and Rana have known each other for the past ten years but had started dating two years back. In a conversation with The Hyderabad Times, Rana Daggubati's father, Suresh Babu had expressed his joy over the newly formed alliance and had said, "During these grim times, we finally have a reason to celebrate. The entire family is happy. The kids have known each other for a long time now and we’re all very happy for them." Hinting at a possible winter wedding for his son, Suresh Babu had continued, "The wedding will happen this year. We were thinking of having it around December but it could happen even sooner than that too. We will reveal the details once things are finalised. One thing’s for sure, the kids have given us a nice way to enhance our lockdown productivity. We’ll now be busy planning a wedding."
As soon as Rana Daggubati had made his relationship official with Miheeka Bajaj on social media, congratulatory messages had started flooding in and it was Miheeka's dear friend, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’s warning-cum-wish that had everyone’s attention. Like a true BFF, Sonam warned Rana to keep her ‘friend’ happy always. Reposting Rana’s post on her IG story, Sonam had written, “Congratulations my darling baby @miheeka I love you doll… you deserve the best… @ranadaggubati better make you happy.. love you both!
