On January 5, 2022, Rakul Preet and Jackky Bhagnani were spotted at the Mumbai airport in twinning outfits as they returned from their vacation in London. Rakul went for a casual look with a black jacket, blue denim, paired with comfy black sneakers. On the other hand, Jacky had opted for a black coat, trousers, and sneakers and completed the look with a black cap.

On January 24, 2022, Rakul Preet Singh and her boyfriend, Jackky Bhagnani, were snapped at a restaurant in Mumbai as they went out on a date. The duo looked stunning in their comfy attires, as they walked out from the restaurant towards their respective cars. Rakul wore a black tank top, blue denim and a beige jacket. She completed her look with a top knot bun, a leather bag and black sneakers. On the other hand, Jackky donned an all-black look, which included a t-shirt, distressed jeans and sneakers.
On January 14, 2022, the actress had opened up about her relationship with Jackky Bhagnani and had revealed why they wanted to go public. In an interview with Film Companion, she had said:
"We're both of the opinion that there is nothing to hide or be sly about a relationship. If you are in one, the best thing is to give each other that respect and acknowledge it. Let's face it. We all know who the couples are, hiding and running. Both of us don't come from that school of thought."

Some time back, Rakul had revealed that she was surprised when Jackky had written poetic lines while wishing her on her birthday. The Yaariyaan actress had said:
"I didn't know he was going to be a poet. I knew he was going to wish me in public but I thought it would just be 'happy birthday'. I didn't know it was going to be such a poetic message. I was quite surprised."
After making their relationship official in October 2021, rumours about Rakul Preet and Jackky Bhagnani's wedding often make it to the headlines. When asked about this, the actress had opened up about finalising the big day. She had said to News18:
"Be it marriage or any other rumours about nonsense that doesn't exist, specially don't bother me at all. I have learnt to keep my blinders on and keep working. I have been transparent in my life, and as and when that step has to happen, I will be the first person to talk about it, like I did this time too. I only feel people shouldn't speculate and wait for the truth to come out. Right now my focus is on my work and the 10 films that I have and the other work that is coming in. Everything else will happen when it is due."
