For those who have not watched Raju Weds Rambai, 'Raju' is a local band member and 'Rambai' is a college-going girl. She is also the daughter of a compunder played by Chaitu Jonnalagadda. His character is of 'Venkanna', a compounder working at the village government hospital. 'Venkanna' is shown to be someone who is hot-tempered and is not happy with the relationship between 'Raju' and 'Rambai'. His only dream is to see his daughter get married to a government employee. 'Raju' and 'Rambai' have already decided to elope.

Tejaswi Rao, earlier in a media statement, revealed having a blast while she worked with director Sailu and her co-star Akhil in the movie. She revealed that the character of 'Rambai' is very close to her heart and that the movie in itself is extremely close to her heart. During the announcement of the movie, Tejaswi shared:
