Rajshri Deshpande Shares Her First Reaction After Knowing About Her Breast Cancer, 'Breaking Down..'

Rajshri Deshpande has been going through a tough time due to her health. For the unversed, the Angry Indian Goddesses fame has been diagnosed with infiltrating ductal carcinoma, a grade 1 breast cancer. Earlier, this month, Rajshri, in an interview, revealed that it’s been a month since she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She also shared a detailed post on her Instagram regarding her health crisis. A while ago, Rajshri dropped another post related to her breast cancer in which she explained her first reaction after knowing it.

Rajshri Deshpande recounts her first reaction after knowing about her breast cancer

On March 27, 2026, Rajshri Deshpande recounted her first reaction after knowing that she had been diagnosed with infiltrating ductal carcinoma, a grade 1 breast cancer. Taking to her Instagram handle, The Angry Indian Goddesses fame mentioned that she still remembers breaking down all alone in the hospital. Rajshri highlighted that she couldn’t stay strong. She stated that even today, when people ask her how it happened to her and how she is so fit, she doesn’t have any answer. Rajshri added that the pain was not only physical but was mental and emotional as well. She wrote:

"When I first learned about my breast cancer, I still remember breaking down all alone outside the histopathology report center in the hospital. No I couldn’t stay strong. I had no strength. Till today, when people ask me how it happened to you… you’re so fit, blah blah … honestly I don’t have an answer. Pain was not just physical but mental and emotional pain was unbearable. I did crumble many times sometimes alone and sometimes with my friends who held me up at every single step."

Rajshri Deshpande reflects on optimism amid her health struggles

In the same note, Rajshri reflected on optimism amid her health struggles. She mentioned that there were days when she made sure not to give up. But some days she had zero strength. Rajshri highlighted that in the near future, there will be battles, but today wanted to feel loved. She wrote:

"But there were many days when I rose up and made sure I didn’t give up. There are days I don’t want to have all the strength in the world. Today I did. I achieved a smile and a hug for myself and thinking about all the people who is with me in this journey, called, messaged and gave me so much love. Tomorrow I know there will be battles to prepare for, but let today be a day of love. Please."

Rajshri Deshpande opened up about her cancer diagnosis

On March 4, 2026, the Angry Indian Goddesses star took to her Instagram handle and opened up about her breast cancer diagnosis. She mentioned that, fortunately, she got to know about the cancer at an early stage during a routine checkup. Rajshri highlighted that going through tests and surgery made her overwhelmed, but it was everyone's love and warmth that gave her strength. She added that after seeing her parents’ face post surgery, all her fears turned into unbreakable strength. She wrote:

"I’ve finally found the courage to tell my parents that I have been diagnosed with Infiltrating ductal carcinoma (NOS), a grade 1 Breast cancer. Now it’s time you all know. We fortunately caught this early in a routine checkup, which gave us a fighting chance. Tons of tests and surgery felt like a rollercoaster ride, but trust me, it was everyone’s love and warmth that carried me through. And seeing my Aai and papa’s faces after surgery melted my fears into unbreakable strength. With everyone’s support I feel am ready to take on the world. Now, I’m recovering beautifully and soon heading home from the hospital."
